It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“There is no sin more deserving that Allah hasten the punishment in this world, in addition to what is stored up for him in the Hereafter – than injustice and severing the ties of kinship.”

The Difference Between Sins & Evil Deeds
Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya
Miraathpubs.net

The great scholar Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawzeeyah - rahimullah - said

'Whereby the word 'sins' is mentioned in the Qur'aan then the intent by it is, the major sins.

Whereby the word 'bad deeds' then the intent by it is, the lesser sins.

When reflecting upon the Ayaat of the Noble Qur'aan we find:

The word 'forgiveness' (al-maghfiratu) is presented with sins and the word 'at-Takfeer' (nullification) is presented with bad deeds.

Allaah Ta'ala said:
" رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا "
《Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds》

This is because the word 'forgiveness' (al-maghfiratu) includes prevention and protection and the word 'at-Takfeer' (nullification) includes concealment and removal.

The evidence that bad deeds are the lesser sins and what nullifies them is the saying of Allah Ta'ala:

" إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ " ]
《If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, We shall remit from you your (small) sins》

[From Mudarij as-salikeen 1/317]

There Is No Good Except In Following The Prophet [ﷺ] And The Companions

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:

❝From Abul Aaliyah who said: We were with Ibn Umar on a journey and we stopped at a place called Dhil Majaaz that had water which belonged to some bedouin.

The time of prayer came in and the Mu'adhin of Ibn Umar called the Adhan then Ibn Umar began the prayer.

A man stood up high upon a saddle which belonged to some of the people and he called out at the top of his voice: 'The prayer O people who own the water! The prayer!'

Ibn Umar began saying 'Subhana Allaah' in his prayer until the prayer had ended.

Ibn Umar asked: 'Who is the person shouting with the prayer?

The people said: 'It was Abu Aamir, O Abu AbdurRahman!'

Ibn Umar said to him: 'You did not pray or recite! Which of your Shaytaan ordered you to do this!'

Is not what is with Allaah and the Sunnah of His Prophet [ﷺ] and the righteous people dispense and relieve you from this Bida of yours.

Indeed the people do not innovate a Bida and view it as good except that they kill off a Sunnah.'

A man from the people said: 'He did not intend except good O Abu AbdurRahman!'

Ibn Umar said: 'If he had intended good then he would not have desired for his-self other than the Sunnah of his Prophet and the righteous people from Allaah's worshippers.'❞

How to Look at Yourself and Others

It is reported that Bakr b. ʿAbdillāh Al-Muzanī – Allāh have mercy on him – said:

When you see someone older than you, say: he has preceded me in īmān and righteous actions so he is better than me; and when you see someone younger than you, say: I have preceded him in sinning and disobedience so he is better than me. And when you see your brothers honouring and revering you, say: this is a virtue they have attained; and when you see them falling short (in their treatment of you) say: this is [because of] a sin I committed.

Ibn Al-Jawzī, Ṣifatu Al-Ṣafwah, article 505: Bakr b. ʿAbdillāh Al-Muzanī.
From Hasan -Rahimullaah- who said:

يا أهل السنة ترفقوا رحمكم الله فإنكم من أقل الناس.

‘O Ahl-ul- Sunnah be gentle may, Allaah have mercy on you since indeed you are from the fewest in number.’

Actions and People most beloved to Allaah

On the authority of Ibn Umar who said: ‘A man came to the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said: ‘

O Messenger of Allaah! Which of the people are the most beloved to Allaah and which of the actions are most beloved to Allaah?’

The Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

‘The most beloved of the people to Allaah are the most beneficial for the people. The most beloved of actions to Allaah –Azza wa Jal- are to cause happiness to reach a Muslim, to relieve him from a hardship, to settle a debt for a Muslim or to repel hunger from him. For me to walk with a brother in order to assist him is more beloved to me than to make ‘Itikaf in this Masjid (Masjid al-Madeenah) for a month.

Whoever holds back his anger then Allaah hides his mistakes. Whoever suppresses his anger – even though he is not scared to show it, but withholds due to the truth – Allaah fills his heart with hope on the day of Judgement. Whoever walks with his brother to assist him with a need until he has helped him completely, then Allaah plants his feet firmly on the day people will not stand firmly. Indeed bad behaviour spoils good actions, just as vinegar spoils honey.’

DO NOT HASTILY GET UP AFTER PRAYER ✋🏻

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

"The angels keep on asking Allah's forgiveness for anyone of you, as long as he is at his Musalla (praying place) and he does not pass wind (Hadath). They say: 'O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! be Merciful to him."

The Sunnah of Fajr

'Ā'ishah has been reported to have said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) did not take care of any voluntary act of worship the way he took care of the two prayer units of Fajr." (al-Bukhārī, 1169, Muslim, 724, 94 (repeated).

It has also been reported from 'Ā'ishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The two prayer units of Fajr are better than this world and all that it contains." (Muslim, 725, 96)

In another report of his (725, 97): "They are more beloved to me than the whole world."

One Bad Quality Can Spoil Numerous Good Ones

It is reported that ʿUmar b. Al-Khaṭṭāb – Allāh be pleased with him – said to a young man while exhorting him:

A man might have ten qualities, nine of them good and one bad, but the nine good ones can be spoiled by the one bad quality. Beware of the slips and faults of youth.

☘️ The Difference Between Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem

🔸 Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih Al Uthaymin said,

“Ar-Rahman: The possessor of vast mercy. Ar-Raheem: The granter of mercy to whomever He wills. The difference between the two is that the first relates to the existence of mercy as a denoscription for Him, whereas the second is related to it being an action of His, as He grants (or bestows) mercy to whomever He wills from His creation." [شرح لمعة الاعتقاد]

🔸 Sheikh Abdur Razzaq ibn Abdil Muhsin Al Abbad said,

Ar-Rahman: He to whom which mercy is a denoscription. Ar-Raheem: The doer of the action of being merciful to His servants, for this reason the Exalted says:

“And with the believers He is most merciful (رحيمًا) ” [Al-Ahzab: 43]

“..certainly He is to them full of Kindness, Most Merciful (رحيمٌ)” [At-Taubah: 117]

So Ar-Rahman is on a (certain) scale (in the Arabic language related to morphology) that indicates a permanent, inseparable, and perfect attribute. In other words; from His attributes is mercy. Whereas Ar-Raheem indicates the spreading of mercy to those whom it is bestowed upon. Meaning those who received mercy via (His) action.
Ibn Sireen ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ heard a man telling another man:

“I did such and such favours for you. I did this, and I did that!”

🌾The Story of how the Mother of Abu Huraira Became Muslim

📍What follows is a tremendous example of striving patiently and persistently for the guidance of others, particularly family members, trusting in Allah, making du'a.

📌Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه stated: "I used to invite my mother to Islam whilst she was a polytheist. One day I was inviting her (giving her da'wah to accept Islam) and she said something to me (in response) regarding the Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم that I hated. So I came to the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم weeping (from sadness) and I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Indeed I used to invite my mother to Islam (regularly) and she would refuse, and I invited her (gave her da'wah) today and she said something regarding you that I hated, so make du'a to Allah that He guides the mother of Abu Huraira".

📌So the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said, "O Allah, guide the mother of Abu Huraira".
So I exited happy due to the du'a of the Prophet of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم (like the one given a glad-tidings). So when I arrived and approached the door, it was actually locked, and my mother heard my footsteps and said, "Remain in your place O Abu Huraira!", and I heard the sound of water trickling. She made Ghusl and wore her garment and quickly covered her head then opened the door, then she said, "O Abu Huraira! I bear testification that there is no deity worthy of worship in truth except Allah and I bear witness that Mohammad is his servant and Messenger".

📌So I returned to the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم and (this time) I was shedding tears from joy and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, glad tidings to you, Allah has answered your du'a and guided the mother of Abu Huraira!" So he صلى الله عليه و سلم praised Allah, and mentioned goodness....."
