The meaning of “Tabaarak Allaah” and “mubaarak” – Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan Hafidahullah

“Tabaarak Allaah”: means: tremendously great is the One whose actions are these, He the Perfect and Most High. And whose Ability is such and these are the things which He has created, He the Exalted and Most High.

And, “Tabaarak”: is a verb which is used specifically for Him, He the Perfect, so it cannot be applied to anyone besides Him. And al-Barakah (blessing) it means abundance of good and its increase, and the blessings which come from Allaah the Majestic and Most High do not end. As for a created being, it cannot be said about him, “tabaarak”. Rather it can be said to him, “mubaarak” meaning, “May you receive blessing”, meaning may Allaah put blessing into him and make him blessed. And all blessing is from Allaah the Perfect and Most High.

WHOEVER IS FOCUSED ON THE HEREAFTER..

"Whoever is focused on the Hereafter" - meaning, he attaches his heart to his Lord - "Allāh will settle his affairs for him." Thus, his heart will be at ease. He will not run around this world, right and left. Some of the righteous people have said,

"Perhaps a rich person will not be able to sleep, while perhaps a poor person will fall asleep before he reaches his bed."

This affair returns to the affair of the heart.

💠What to do when:
➡️ You are jobless/laid-off?
➡️ You are single/divorced/widowed?
➡️ You are homeless or cannot afford the rent?

Say what Moosaa عليه السلام had said:

{My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me}

🍃 YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE O PARENTS AND TEACHERS

“O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from the Hellfire.” [Sūrah al-Taḥrīm 66:6]

Mothers, fathers, teachers, and the society as a whole, will all be accountable in front of Allāh about the tarbiyyah (education and upbringing) of this generation. If its tarbiyah is good, then there will be happiness - both in this world and the Hereafter. If it is not, then there will be misery, and it will be a rope around your necks - since there occurs in the ḥadīth: “Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be questioned about those who you are responsible for.” [1]

But - O teachers - rejoice in the saying of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), who said: “By Allāh! That Allāh guides through you even a single person, is better for you than the most precious of camels.” [2] And - O parents - rejoice in the authentic ḥadīth: “When a person dies, his actions are terminated except for three; a recurring charity, or knowledge that he leaves which is benefited from, or a pious offspring who supplicates for him.” [3]

So you must first of all reform yourselves, since good results from the good that you do, and bad results from the bad that you do. So good conduct from teachers and parents in front of the children is the best form of education and upbringing for them.” [4]

Bad Character Inside the House

Character is exposed in the home with the family. You find out who really has good manners and who doesn't. We have said this many times before. Some of us perfect our character when we leave the home; even if someone harms another, you will find him smiling, saying, "JazākAllāhu khayran (may Allāh reward you with good), may Allāh pardon you!" But when he enters his home, he changes completely. When he enters the home, he becomes someone who curses, insults, slanders and beats. He becomes angry for the slightest reason (with family members). He beats (misbehaves with) his family for the slightest reason. He knows no limits. In reality, he needs to examine himself, because good manners are manners the person can adorn himself with throughout different situations.

Benefits from the Story of Shuaib
THE BEST SALAH BEFORE ALLAH💕

“The BEST PRAYER before Allaah is FAJR prayer on FRIDAY in CONGREGATION.” [AL-BAYHAQI ; classed as SAHEEH by AL-ALBAANI in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1119]

The PROPHET صلى الله عليه وسلم used to RECITE in FAJR prayer in FRIDAYS Alif-Laam-Meem Tanzeel (Soorat AL-SAJDAH) in the first rak’ah and Hal ata ‘ala’l-insaan (Soorat AL-INSAAN) in the second. [AL-BUKHAARI, 851; MUSLIM, 880]

Regarding the above mentioned HADITH.

AL HAFIDH IBN HAJAR SAYS: It was said that the reason why these TWO SOORAHS are recited is BECAUSE they mention the CREATION of ADAM and what will happen on the DAY of RESURRECTION, because that will come to pass on a FRIDAY.

Ibn Al-Qayyim: Superiority of the Prophetic Medicine Over All Other Medicine

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said in his excellent work, Zaad al-Ma'aad (3/97-98), after discussing the benefits of honey in relation to the man who was advised by the Messenger (alayhis salaam) to treat the ailment of his stomach with honey:

His medicine (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is not like the medicine of the physicians, for the medicine of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is certain, definitive, emanating from (divine) revelation, the lantern of prophethood, and perfection of reason. As for the medicine of others, most of it is conjecture, presumptions and experimentation.

As for the absence of benefit to many of the ill from the Prophetic Medicine, that is not to be shown rejection because only those benefit with it who wholeheartedly accept it, believe firmly in its ability to cure, and perfectly accept it through faith and submission. This Qur'an which is the cure for what is in the hearts, if it is not accepted with such acceptance, the healing of the hearts will not be attained by its treatments. Rather, it only increases the hypocrites in evil on top of their evil, and disease on top of their disease. And so where does the bodily medicine stand with respect to it. The Prophetic medicine is not suited except for wholesome bodies, just as the cure of the Qur'an is not suited except for good souls and lively hearts. The people turning away from the Prophetic Medicine [in bodily matters] therefore is like them turning away from seeking cure from the Qur'an which is indeed the beneficial cure. And this is not because of any deficiency in the treatment, but due to the vileness of the bodily disposition and corruption of the diseased location and non-acceptance of (the healing capacity)... and Allaah is the one who grants success.

There are some great points to be extracted from this statement of Ibn al-Qayyim which relate to the nature of disease and cure, and the role of faith and anticipation in cure and healing and the speculative nature of other types of medicine and conditions required for cure and healing to be attained.

Indeed, the one who said the following was right:

If you are alone for a time one day, don’t say:

“I am alone.” Instead say, “There is a Watchful Guardian over me.”

And don’t think that Allāh is ever heedless

Or that what is hidden from Him is unseen.

Do you not see that the days pass quickly

And that tomorrow is close for those who are heedful?

If you have these four, you will not be harmed by what you missed from this world: preserving the trust, being truthful speech, having good manners, and having pure food. [Collected by al-Hākim (3/314)]

If you have those four things, you will not be harmed by what you missed from this world.

You are poor? You missed out on this world? You don’t have the luxuries that the people have? If you have these four things, you will not be harmed by what missed from the worldly life, because you are truly rich.

What are these four thing which are equivalent to the world?

1) Truthful speech: This means that the person always strives to be truthful

2) Preserving the truth: This includes all types of trust, the trust of the religion and the trust of what people entrust with you.

3) Good manners.

4) Pure food: This is to ensure that your food is halāl.

If you actualize there four things, then by Allāh, you are rich, because these four things are equivalent to the world according to the testimony of the Messenger of Allāh If you have them, you will not be harmed by what you miss from this world. And how great is this hadīth!

▪️What is the prophesied Fitna that will enter every Muslim home?

🎓Answered by
Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzan

Explanation:
Student: The author (Imam Bukhari ) Rahimahullah said:
The chapter of the portents of the hour.

Shaykh Fawzan: The portents of the hour means the signs of the hour (Day of Judgment)

Student: Collected in Al Bukhari Narrated from `Auf bin Malik he said: I went to the Prophet ّ ّ during the battle of Tabuk while he was sitting in a tent made from skin.

Shaykh Fawzan: ‘From skin’ means from leather.

Student: He said: ‘Count six signs before the approach of the Hour’.

Shaykh Fawzan: Six incidents which will occur before the hour (Day of Judgment)

Student: ‘My death.’
Shaykh Fawzan: This is the first sign; the death of the Messenger of Allah ّ
ّ .

Student: ‘And then the conquest of Baytul-Maqdis’
Shaykh Fawzan: And then the conquest of Baytul-Maqdis. And it was conquered during the era of Umar .

Student: ‘And then a plague that will afflict you as the plague that afflicts sheep.’
Shaykh Fawzan: This is referring to a plague—and we seek refuge in Allah. This is a plague during which many will die.

Student: ‘And then an increase of wealth’

Shaykh Fawzan: And then an increase of wealth. Increase in wealth, this is a Fitna and this is from the signs of the hour. And the increase of wealth in the hands of the people is from the signs of the hour.

Student: ‘To such an extent that even if one is given one hundred Dinars, he will not be satisfied.’

Shaykh Fawzan: A small amount will not suffice him. A hundred Dinars will not satisfy him, rather he will want more. He will not be content.

Student: ‘And then an affliction which no Muslim house will escape.’

Shaykh Fawzan: This is a problem. This is a universal, prevalent Fitna. It will enter the homes. And Allah knows best, I view it to be the media outlets present now; and the internet. Who knows where this evil is transmitted to? It enters upon the people in their homes. You didn’t go to it, but it came to you. You are on your bed; and this idol which is next to you, (without you putting forth any effort) it will bring all the evil
and destruction right to you. This is Fitna!

Student: ‘And then a truce between you and Bani Al-Asfar.

Shaykh Fawzan: A truce between you and Rome. Bani Al –Asfar are the Romans. This is a truce between the Muslims and Rome. They will end all fighting between them.

Student: ‘They will betray you’.

Shaykh Fawzan: Rome will betray the truce which is between you and them.

Student: ‘And they will attack you under eighty flags. Under each flag will be twelve thousand soldiers.

Shaykh Fawzan: They will betray the truce and attack the Muslims. This is because betrayal and deception is from the nature of the disbelievers, while fulfilling the trust is from the nature of the Muslims.

Al-Hamdulillaah: The Anti-depressant!

Allaah تعالى said:

{Verily, in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest}
📚 [Surah al-Rad (13): 28]

🌴🌴🌴

Aaishah رضي الله عنها said: “When the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ saw something he liked, he ﷺ would say:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ
❝Al-Hamdu lillaahil-ladhee bi nimatihee tatimmus-saalihaat
(Praise is to Allah by Whose grace good deeds are completed).❞

And if he ﷺ saw something that he disliked, he ﷺ would say:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ
❝Al-Hamdu lillaahi
alaa kulli haal
(Praise is to Allah in all circumstances).❞”
📚 [Sunan Ibn Maajah (3803) and graded as “Hasan li ghairihee” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

🌴🌴🌴

Ibn al-Qayyim said:
❝And whoever is preoccupied with al-Hamd (saying: al-Hamdulillaah), he will be given bounties one after the other.❞
📚 [al-Daa' wal-Dawaa' (1/187-188)]

🌴🌴🌴

📑 Note:

Depression and anxiety are a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, they are also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.

One of the ways to calm one’s nerves down and put the heart to rest is by doing the Adhkaar (the remembrance of Allaah), as Allaah تعالى said in the above quoted Aayah.

One of the Dhikr which the Prophet ﷺ used to do was to say: ❝Al-Hamdulillaah!❞ Whatever be the situation, whatever be the news – even if it was unpleasant or disliked, he ﷺ would still say: ❝Al-Hamdulillaah!❞

There is a reason for this. This is to remind us that nothing happens except by the Will of Allaah. It is to remind us that what has passed us by – which we failed to attain – was not going to befall us, and what has befallen us was not going to miss us. And to remind us that victory comes with patience, relief after affliction, and ease after hardship. So, no matter what the situation is, one should always say: ❝Al-Hamdulillaah!❞

And as Ibn al-Qayyim said that whoever is preoccupied with saying Al-Hamdulillaah, he will be given bounties one after the other. And there is no bounty greater than finding a heart which is calm and satisfied. If a person has Millions of Riyals while his heart is at unrest, he will not be able to enjoy his wealth.

A person can take prenoscription medicines and anti-depressants to fight depression, but there is nothing like saying ❝al-Hamdulilaah❞ to fight depression, sorrow, and anxiety.

Ibn al-Qayyim said in “Al-Fawaaid” (paraphrased): The feelings of distress, sorrow, and grief which are removed by other than the Qur’aan will return.

So, whenever you feel that your heart is at unrest, keep saying as often as you can: ❝al-Hamdulilaah! al-Hamdulilaah! al-Hamdulilaah!❞, and see the immediate calmness you will feel inside you!

Reference: Sahih Muslim
Hadith# 1635

Narrated by Abdullah bin Shaqiq al-Uqaili:

A person said to be Ibn'Abbas (as he delayed the prayer): Prayer. He kept silence. He said again: Prayer. He (Ibn'Abbas) kept silence. He said again: Prayer. Ibn'Abbas reacted to that person saying, May you be deprived of your mother, do you teach us about prayer? We used to combine two (Zuhr+Asr and Maghrib+Isha) prayers during the life of the Messenger of Allah Sallalahu Alahi wa Sallam.

Reference: Sahih Muslim
Hadith# 1637

Please Note: Zuhr and Asr can be combined, Maghrib and Isha can be combined. However, the Asr and Maghrib CANNOT be combined.
It is highly recommended to pray five prayers in their specified timings, however it is also #permissible to combine/join the prayers without any reason.

Abdullah bin Masud (رضي الله عنه‎) said:

🌎A Supplication Which Allaah Answers – Saheeh Abee Daawood🌍

From Buraydah (رضي الله عنه) that Allaah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه و سلم)  heard a man saying:

Meaning: “O Allaah: I ask you by the fact that I bear witness that You are Allaah, none has the right to be worshipped except You: The Unique One, the perfect Lord and Master upon Whom all the creation depends. The One Who has no parent and no child, and there is none like Him.”

So he (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: ‹You have asked Allaah by the name which is such that if He is asked by it He gives, and if He is supplicated to by it He responds.› [1]
