Shaykh ibn Baz: When the need (you have) is delayed (from being fulfilled), don’t blame your Lord.
Don’t say: Why, why (haven’t you answered my du’a) my Lord?!
Rather, it’s upon you to return back to yourself and take account of yourself, for indeed your Lord is All-Wise and All-Knowing.
Therefore, return back to yourself and look. Perhaps you have something with you from the sins and the acts of disobedience which is the reason for the delay in the answer (for your du’a).

Shaykh Abdur Razzaaq Al-Badr:
Mutarif Ibn Abdullah may Allah have mercy upon him - who was a scholar from the second generation of Muslims - saw a man wearing a cloak and strutting boastfully.
♢ So he said to the man: “O slave of Allah, this is the type of boastful strutting of those whom Allah hates.”
♢ The man replied: “Don’t you know who I am?!”
This man was wearing this beautiful cloak, and his appearance was attractive, and he was strutting, and someone has the nerve to speak to him in this manner?! Thus he replied to him: Don’t you know who I am?! Meaning if you knew who I was you would not speak to me like this.
Mutarif said: “On the contrary, of course I know who you are! You started as a sprinkled drop of sperm, you will end as a soiled corpse, and in the meantime you are carrying around feces (in your intestines). I know who you are!”
Thus the man went about his way and he no longer strutted. These words of Mutarif taught this man some manners.

Ibn-ul-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said, “Whoever wants to make his building high, then he must take care to lay down firm foundations. For the height of a building will depend on the firmness and strength of its foundations. Deeds and levels are buildings, and their foundation is faith. Whenever the foundation is firm, then the building can stand firm upon it and be tall and if anything falls off the building it is easy to put it back in place. As for if the foundations are not firm, then the building will not be solid and cannot be made too high. If something breaks off from the foundation, then the whole building could fall down.
So, the one is knowledgeable, his concern is with making his foundations strong and firm. But the one who is ignorant builds his building without any foundation, so it does not hesitate to come crumbling down, as The Most High says:
أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىٰ تَقْوَىٰ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ خَيْرٌ أَمْ مَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىٰ شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍ فَانْهَارَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Is it then he, who laid the foundation of his building on piety to Allah and His Good Pleasure, better, or he who laid the foundation of his building on an undetermined brink of a precipice ready to crumble down, so that it crumbled to pieces with him into the Fire of Hell. And Allah guides not the people who are the Zalimun (cruel, violent, proud, polytheist and wrong-doer).
[Surah At-Tawbah: 109]
The foundation for the building of actions is like the strength of the human body. If the body is strong then it will cope well and ward off many illnesses. But if the body is weak then it will not be able to cope with much and will be quick to pick up illnesses.
So, build your building upon a strong foundation of faith, then if something is taken from the roof or the top of the building it will be much easier to put it back in place than if the foundations were ruined.
These foundations are two:
1. Correct knowledge of Allah, His commands, His names and His attributes.
2. Singling out obedience to Him and His messenger to the exception of anyone else.
This is the strongest foundation that the slave of Allah can establish his building upon and due to it he can build his building as high as he likes.”

Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported: The Prophet (swalla-Allaahu alayhi wa-sallam) said,

"He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection. And he who finds relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection. He who covers up (the faults and sins) of a Muslim, Allah will cover up (his faults and sins) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother.

It is an act of great merit to relieve a Muslim from his financial difficulty

A: These notions and thoughts are from Satan, who whispers into the hearts of mankind in order to cause confusion to the Muslim; so when you feel any such thing, seek refuge with Allāh and stop thinking about matters of the unseen, matters of (Allāh’s) Attributes and creation, so that your conviction is not weakened.

THE REALITY OF TAQWĀ
The scholars have said about taqwā: It is to work in the obedience of Allāh, upon a light from Allāh, while hoping for the reward of Allāh; and to abandon disobeying Allāh, upon a light from Allāh, while fearing the punishment of Allāh.

A pudding made from *talbinah*
(Barley flour and milk), dates, and honey, sprinkled with raisins, cinnamon, honey and blackseeds... Very nutritious, and yummy eaten warm for breakfast, but even yummier refrigerated over night!
#Talbinah:
'Aaisha (radiAllaahu anha) used to say, “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (salAllaahu alayhi wa sallan) saying, ‘The Talbinah gives rest to the heart of the patient and makes it active and relieves some of his sorrow and grief.’”
~ [Saheeh al-Bukhaari (5689)].
The Messenger (salAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “I encourage you to use that which is disliked but beneficial (Talbinah) for by the One whose hand Muhammad’s soul is in, it cleans the stomach of one of you just as dirt is cleaned from the face with water.”

#Milk:
Allaah says,
“And in the cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, in them you have many benefits, and of them you eat.”

CALAMITIES BEFALLS PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THEIR SINS
It is possible that an old man is humiliated, despite his old age, to the level that people feel sorry for him while he does not realise that what he suffers at old age is because of his negligence to Allāh's rights when he was at a youthful age.
Thus, whenever you see someone is being punished, know that this punishment is due to a sin that he previously committed.
