The virtue of Isha and Al Fajr prayers

Abu Hurayra {R.A) reported that the Messenger of Allah, ‎ﷺ said, "And if they only knew what was in the prayers of 'Isha' and Subh [Fajr], they would come to them even if they had to crawl."
📚 [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

Uthman bin ‘Affan (R.A)‎ reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "One who performs Isha' prayer in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat for half of the night. And one who performs the Fajr prayer in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat the whole night.''
📚 [Muslim]

Abu Hurairah (R.A) ‎reported :
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the `Isha' (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits, they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so.''
📚 [Al-Bukhari & Muslim].
All people have flaws: the blind King’s story

Imam Shafi'ii says in a poem:
لسانك لاتذكر به عورة امرئ
فكلك عورات وللناس ألْسُنُ
وعينك إن أبدت إليك معايبا
فدعهاوقل ياعين للناس أعينُ
''𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧,
𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚
𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙤!
𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙮𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙪𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧,
𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙮:
“𝙊 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙮𝙚! 𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙤!””

Once upon a time, there lived an honest king who was blind in one eye. He asked some painters to paint him correctly, but hide his flaws. One of them painted him with two eyes. The king put him in prison for flattery and dishonesty, as the king had lost one eye. The second person drew him with his flawed eye. The king put him in prison as well, for highlighting the kings flaws. The third painter was clever, he painted the king from the side angle - hiding his flawed eye. The king rewarded him.

The moral of the story is, all people have flaws and people try to hide their flaws.

If you notice other people's flaws and shortcomings, pretend you don't see it.

An Hadith to reflect.
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "A time will soon come when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the placesof rainfall (valleys) so as to flee with his religion from afflictions."
Sahih al-Bukhari 19.

This Hadith teaches us that a time will come when religious hardship and the Deen will turn strange and a person will have sheep as his best property and will take them and live on a mountain to be able to practice his deen and free from the prosecution of his religion.

As the prophet PBUH said,
A time will come when holding unto the Deen will be like holding upon a coal of fire
Sahih.

May Allah protects us and our eeman. Aamin

❗️REASON FOR LOSS OF BARAKAH FROM TIME ❗️

🎓Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (رحمه الله) warned:

If you see your time pass by and your life go, and you have not produced anything worthwhile or beneficial and you do not find any blessing in your time then be wary that the statement of Allah has overcome you:
“And obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our Remembrance, one who follows his own lusts and whose affair (deeds) has been lost.” [Al-Kahf: 28]

➡️The Shaykh (رحمه الله) also said:

And in this ayah is an indication to the importance of (having) presence of heart when performing dhikr of Allah. And that the person who remembers Allah with (only) his tongue and not his heart, (then) the barakah (blessing) is removed from his actions and his time to the extent that his deeds become lost.

THE GRAVE IS DARK & LONELY

READING SURA-MULK EVERY NIGHT PROTECTS THE READER AGAINST THE PUNISHMENT OF THE GRAVE

'Abdullaah ibn Mas'ood (radhiAllahu 'anhu) said:
"Whoever reads ‘al-Mulk’ every night, Allaah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), we used to call it al-mani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allah, there is a chapter [and] whoever recites it every night has done very well."

[Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib, no. 1475]

Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Allah’s Messenger (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
"Verily, there is a chapter in the Qur’an which contains thirty Ayat that will intercede on behalf of its reciter until he is forgiven. (It is): ‘Blessed be He in Whose Hand is the dominion.’"

[This Hadith was collected by At-Tirmidhi and the four Sunan Compilers. At-Tirmidhi said concerning it, “This is a Hasan Hadith.”]

He (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) used to recite Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Al-Mulk (in Arabic) before sleeping.

[Reference: At-Tirmithi, An-Nasa’i. See also Al-Albani, Sahihul-Jami ’ As-Saghir 4/255]

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) saying,

"There is a Surah in the Qur’an which contains thirty Ayat which kept interceding for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is ‘Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion.’
(Surat Al-Mulk 67)."

[At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud]

Commentary from Riyad-us-Saliheen:

This Hadith means that on the Day of Resurrection this Surah will intercede with Allaah for the forgiveness of its reciter. This Hadith has been narrated (in Arabic) in the past tense because, like the past indefinite, its occurrence is definite and not open to inquiry. At some places, however, it has also been narrated in the present tense.
Imam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree:

"Three qualities are from patience:
not speaking about your misfortune, (not speaking about) your pain, and not praising yourself"

What does fear do to our body? Fear comes from satan

Quran 3:175: It is only the devil who would make (men) fear his partisans. Fear them not; fear Me, if ye are true believers.

Fear prepares us to react to danger. Once we sense a potential danger, our body releases hormones that slow or shut down functions not needed for survival such as our digestive system and sharpen functions that might help us survive such as eyesight. Our heart rate increases, and blood flows to muscles so we can run faster.

So what happens when we are living in constant or chronic fear? Weakens immune system: Fear weakens our immune system and can cause cardiovascular damage, gastrointestinal problems such as ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome, and decreased fertility. It can lead to accelerated ageing and even premature death.

Impair memory: Fear can impair formation of long term memories and cause damage to certain parts of the brain, such as the hippocampus. This can make it even more difficult to regulate fear and can leave a person anxious most of the time. To someone in chronic fear, the world looks scary and their memories confirm that.

Slow brain processing functions: Fear can interrupt processes in our brains that allow us to regulate emotions, read non-verbal cues and other information presented to us, reflect before acting, and act ethically. This impacts our thinking and decision making in negative ways, leaving us susceptible to intense emotions and impulsive reactions. All of these effects can leave us unable to act appropriately.

Long term mental health problems: Other consequences of long-term fear include fatigue, clinical depression, and PSTD.

DO NOT LET THIS FEAR GET TO YOUR MIND, BODY AND SOUL.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah has divided mercy into one hundred parts; and He retained with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent down to earth one part. Through this one part creatures deal with one another with compassion, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young lest it should hurt it".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Another narration is: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah has one hundred mercies, out of which He has sent down only one for jinn, mankind, animals and insects, through which they love one another and have compassion for one another; and through it, wild animals care for their young. Allah has retained ninety-nine mercies to deal kindly with His slaves on the Day of Resurrection."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Another narration in Muslim is reported: by Salman Al-Farisi: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah has hundred mercies, out of which one mercy is used by his creation for mutual love and affection. Ninety-nine mercies are kept for the Day of Resurrection."

Another narration is: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah created one hundred units of mercy on the Day He created the heavens and the earth. Each one of them can contain all that is between the heaven and the earth. Of them, he put one on earth, through which a mother has compassion for her children and animals and birds have compassion for one another. On the Day of Resurrection, He will perfect and complete His Mercy". (That is He will use all the hundred units of mercy for his slaves on that Day).

Du’a and Patience

I think part of the test is when a believer supplicates and receives no response, and he repeats the du’aa for a long time and sees no sign of a response. He should realize that this is a test and needs patience.

Don't think that by worshipping Allaah, you're doing Him a favor. Allaah does not need us but we need Him.

All your efforts—may it be bad or good deeds—are all for yourself.

When to say Allahumma barik

The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) instructed the Muslim, if he sees something with his Muslim brothers that he admires, to pray for blessing (barakah ) for them. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“If one of you sees something with his brother that he admires, let him pray for blessing (barakah) for him.” Narrated by Imam Malik in al-Muwatta (2/939), Imam Ahmad in al-Musnad (25/355), and Ibn Majah (3509)

Greed is a destructive force that can harm a person in many ways. A man’s greed is more dangerous than two hungry wolves in a flock of sheep.

Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beware of greed, for it was only greed that destroyed those before you. It commanded them to be miserly and they did so. It commanded them to sever their family ties and they did so. It commanded them to behave wickedly and they did so.”

The best 10 days of the year
(First 10 days of Zul - Hijjah)
————————————

‎”والفجر! وليالٍ عشر! والشفع والوتر”

(I swear by the dawn!
I swear by the ten days (of first Zul Hijjah)
I swear by the odd (9th day) and by the even (10th day of Zul Hijjah).

I thank Allah the most Merciful, for granting us such huge opportunities along with Ramadhan,

THE BEST TEN DAYS OF THE YEAR

The first day of Zul Hijjah is going to be on:
Tuesday June 20th, 2023
(This is going to be most likely, as we’ll wait for Makkah decision about when would be the Hajj day, because this Eid celebration solely depends upon Hajj).

Some virtues of these days:
"ما من أيام العمل فيهن خير وأحب إلى الله من هذه الأيام، قالوا: ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله؟ قال: ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله، إلا رجل خرج بنفسه وماله فلم يرجع منهما بشيئ"
(رواه الجماعة إلا مسلم)

Prophet peace be upon him said:
"There are no days, in which, the righteous deeds are more beloved to Almighty Allah then these ten days (the first ten days of Zul Hijjah), Sahabah/ the companions RA, asked: even the Jihaad in the path of Allah? He (Peace be upon him) said: Nor the Jihaad in Allah's path, except a person who sacrificed both himself and his wealth in Allah’s path".
(Reported by Imam Bukhari, Abu Dawood, Tirmizi, Ibn Majah and others..).

Our Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to fast first nine days of it (as reported by his wives Hafsah, and Juwairiyyah RA: "Four things, Prophet peace be upon him, never missed in his life:

1- Fasting on Aashura (10th of Muharram), specifically,

and in fact, fasting all first 10 days of Muharram

2- Fasting of all the 10 days of Zil-Hijjah, specifically 9th of Zul Hijjah, (if not performing Hajj).

3- Fasting the 3 days of each month (each loner month: 13, 14 and 15),

4- And performing the two Raka'at before Fajr Fardh (Sunatal Fajr).

Reported by Imam Ahmed and Nasaai.

- Especially the 9th of Zul-Hijjah Prophet of ALLAH (peace be upon him) taught us, that: "fasting of it washes the sins of TWO YEARS, the previous as well as the coming year". (Sahih Muslim, Abu Dawood, Nasaai, Ibn Majah..)

Steps to avail the benefits of these days:

- Making allot of ZIKR,
on top is Quran recitation

- Saying Takbiraat out loud, which will start from the Fajr of Arafah day, until all the Hujjaj leave Mina (Asr of 13th Zul Hijjah).

-Those who will sacrifice, should not cut their nails or hair, until they sacrifice, it’s a SUNNAH of Prophet peace be upon him.

- Sacrificing for the sake of ALLAH, a goat/ sheep/ ram, on behalf of all family members living under one roof, it is upon, everyone who has to pay Zakah, he/she must sacrifice, and we could have a share of seven persons in a cow or a camel.

Prophet peace be upon said: "Who ever could afford to sacrifice, but chooses not to, should not get close to our Masjid/ Eid prayer field".
(Mustadrak Hakim).

- Days of sacrifice are: Starting after Eid prayer, 10, 11 and 12 of Zul-Hijjah until the Maghrib of 12th.

- Fasting all nine days of it, especially 9th of zul Hijjah.

- performing Tahajjud/ optional nightly prayer

- Giving charity

- When/ if Eid occurs on Friday, we are given the choice to either pray "JUMUAH' or ZUHUR" Salah, after performing EID on same day.
