Don't think that by worshipping Allaah, you're doing Him a favor. Allaah does not need us but we need Him.

All your efforts—may it be bad or good deeds—are all for yourself.

When to say Allahumma barik

The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) instructed the Muslim, if he sees something with his Muslim brothers that he admires, to pray for blessing (barakah ) for them. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“If one of you sees something with his brother that he admires, let him pray for blessing (barakah) for him.” Narrated by Imam Malik in al-Muwatta (2/939), Imam Ahmad in al-Musnad (25/355), and Ibn Majah (3509)

Greed is a destructive force that can harm a person in many ways. A man’s greed is more dangerous than two hungry wolves in a flock of sheep.

Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beware of greed, for it was only greed that destroyed those before you. It commanded them to be miserly and they did so. It commanded them to sever their family ties and they did so. It commanded them to behave wickedly and they did so.”

The best 10 days of the year
(First 10 days of Zul - Hijjah)
————————————

‎”والفجر! وليالٍ عشر! والشفع والوتر”

(I swear by the dawn!
I swear by the ten days (of first Zul Hijjah)
I swear by the odd (9th day) and by the even (10th day of Zul Hijjah).

I thank Allah the most Merciful, for granting us such huge opportunities along with Ramadhan,

THE BEST TEN DAYS OF THE YEAR

The first day of Zul Hijjah is going to be on:
Tuesday June 20th, 2023
(This is going to be most likely, as we’ll wait for Makkah decision about when would be the Hajj day, because this Eid celebration solely depends upon Hajj).

Some virtues of these days:
"ما من أيام العمل فيهن خير وأحب إلى الله من هذه الأيام، قالوا: ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله؟ قال: ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله، إلا رجل خرج بنفسه وماله فلم يرجع منهما بشيئ"
(رواه الجماعة إلا مسلم)

Prophet peace be upon him said:
"There are no days, in which, the righteous deeds are more beloved to Almighty Allah then these ten days (the first ten days of Zul Hijjah), Sahabah/ the companions RA, asked: even the Jihaad in the path of Allah? He (Peace be upon him) said: Nor the Jihaad in Allah's path, except a person who sacrificed both himself and his wealth in Allah’s path".
(Reported by Imam Bukhari, Abu Dawood, Tirmizi, Ibn Majah and others..).

Our Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to fast first nine days of it (as reported by his wives Hafsah, and Juwairiyyah RA: "Four things, Prophet peace be upon him, never missed in his life:

1- Fasting on Aashura (10th of Muharram), specifically,

and in fact, fasting all first 10 days of Muharram

2- Fasting of all the 10 days of Zil-Hijjah, specifically 9th of Zul Hijjah, (if not performing Hajj).

3- Fasting the 3 days of each month (each loner month: 13, 14 and 15),

4- And performing the two Raka'at before Fajr Fardh (Sunatal Fajr).

Reported by Imam Ahmed and Nasaai.

- Especially the 9th of Zul-Hijjah Prophet of ALLAH (peace be upon him) taught us, that: "fasting of it washes the sins of TWO YEARS, the previous as well as the coming year". (Sahih Muslim, Abu Dawood, Nasaai, Ibn Majah..)

Steps to avail the benefits of these days:

- Making allot of ZIKR,
on top is Quran recitation

- Saying Takbiraat out loud, which will start from the Fajr of Arafah day, until all the Hujjaj leave Mina (Asr of 13th Zul Hijjah).

-Those who will sacrifice, should not cut their nails or hair, until they sacrifice, it’s a SUNNAH of Prophet peace be upon him.

- Sacrificing for the sake of ALLAH, a goat/ sheep/ ram, on behalf of all family members living under one roof, it is upon, everyone who has to pay Zakah, he/she must sacrifice, and we could have a share of seven persons in a cow or a camel.

Prophet peace be upon said: "Who ever could afford to sacrifice, but chooses not to, should not get close to our Masjid/ Eid prayer field".
(Mustadrak Hakim).

- Days of sacrifice are: Starting after Eid prayer, 10, 11 and 12 of Zul-Hijjah until the Maghrib of 12th.

- Fasting all nine days of it, especially 9th of zul Hijjah.

- performing Tahajjud/ optional nightly prayer

- Giving charity

- When/ if Eid occurs on Friday, we are given the choice to either pray "JUMUAH' or ZUHUR" Salah, after performing EID on same day.

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ وَمَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى مَا سِوَاهُ

What do we say to people who go to Haj and Umrah and post their selfies on social media?
They also make videos with songs and dance.
So the question is whom was the ibadah done to? Or what was the purpose of this worship?was it solely for Allah azwajal or was it Ar Ria's show-off for Duniya?
Clueless and confused
Where is Ibadha here? Will our ibadah be accepted or not? What were our intentions while we performed these acts of ibadha?
Well, let’s ponder over this. In Shaa Allah!!
Because any/every act of ibadah is between Allah and his slaves. Secret and pure. Solely for the sake of Allah azwajal!!

Embarking on the journey of healing with Allah's guidance is a momentous step towards finding solace. Today, I resumed my counseling sessions, seeking to address the enduring childhood trauma that has shaped my life. In this process, I came to realise that I often employ humor as a shield to shield myself from the depths of my pain.

Though I possess a commendable level of self-awareness, I find it challenging to establish an emotional connection with my experiences. Instead, I tend to intellectualise and analyse them, striving to comprehend their impact on the choices I make as an adult.

One area we delved into was the weight of guilt I carry for my three children who grew up amidst the tumult of domestic violence. Throughout my life, I have alternated between being a victim and a survivor. However, today, my yearning is to emerge as a wholesome individual, one who recognises and embraces the love bestowed upon her by the Creator. My aspiration is to flourish and nurture a profound connection with Allah.

During the session, we explored the striking parallels between my mother's exploitation within her marriage and the recurring patterns of exploitation I experienced in my own marital relationships. Moreover, I shared the distressing realisation that my father manipulated the Catholic religion to further his own agendas. Regrettably, I encountered a similar manipulation of Islam within my marriages.

In this journey towards healing and self-discovery, I find solace and guidance in the wisdom of the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As it is written in Surah Ash-Sharh (Chapter 94), verse 5-6: "Indeed, with hardship, there is relief. Indeed, with hardship, there is relief." This reassures me that even in the face of adversity, there is hope for solace and ease.

Furthermore, the Hadith reminds me of the importance of seeking Allah's help and guidance in times of difficulty. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Allah the Almighty said: 'I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me a hand's span, I draw near to him an arm's length; and if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.'" This Hadith reminds me of Allah's unwavering presence and His willingness to respond to my supplications.

With Allah's guidance, the support of counseling, and the profound teachings of Islam, I am hopeful that I can overcome the scars of my past and embark on a path of healing, growth, and connection with my Creator.

Malik ibn Dinar (rahimahillāh) said: "Look, O brother. Every brother, friend and companion you do not benefit from in your religion, FLEE from him"

The Two Cures

Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:

❝Soorah Al-Fatiha comprises of two types of cures:

1. Cure for hearts
2. Cure for bodies

I used to be affected by pains and I would hasten to read Soorah Al-Fatiha and wipe myself with it, and it was as if pebbles would fall off me.❞

Ibn Al-Mubārak رحمه الله would spend so much time in his home, so it was said to him:

"Are you not lonely?"

He replied:

"How could I be lonely when I have with me the narrations of the Prophet and his Companions?"
