Vit. D/Ca2+ ↓ intake / ↓ absorption. ↓ PTH or ↑ calcitonin Ca2+ sequestration: e.g., Saponification. ↓ Albumin e.g., Liver disease. ↓ Mg2+ or ↑ phosphorus (binds Ca2+) Osteoblastic malignancy. Drugs: e.g., Aminoglycosides .
