🇸🇾 Exactly one year has passed since the fall of Assad in Syria, thereby ending 13 years and 9 months of a civil war that ravaged the brotherly nation.

🇧🇦🇬🇧 Incident near Kiseljak: Locals attacked guests for being Muslims and "looking Arab"
On 13 November 2025, in the village of Borina near Kiseljak, two British citizens of Pakistani-Indian origin were verbally attacked by local residents who assumed they were Muslims and “looked like Arabs.”
The visitors arrived with the sister of the cottage owner, who regularly stays at the property. Shortly after their arrival, locals began insulting them and questioning their nationality and religion.
Police confirmed that the guests were legally in Bosnia and Herzegovina with proper documentation. Despite this, the verbal harassment continued. Witnesses say two locals — a father and son — hurled insults at both the British guests and the police, shouting:
“What are Arabs doing here?”
“We don’t want Muslims next to us.”
“You’re biased and protecting them because you’re Muslims.”
They even accused one officer of “being a Serb who lets Arabs come,” while claiming another wasn’t reacting because he was “a Muslim.”
According to sources close to the family, the guests are academics from London — not migrants, as some assumed. “The only problem was their skin color,” one source said.
Despite the documented ethnic and racial insults and obstruction of police officers, the Prosecutor’s Office reportedly saw no grounds for further action.
Residents and witnesses say the incident caused deep discomfort and shame, especially since the guests were legally staying in the home and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A photograph of the inside of the destroyed Sarajevo City Hall during the war. It was targeted by Orthodox Christian Serbs, and in the fire nearly 80 percent of the library’s collection burned - two million books, magazines, as well as manunoscripts of priceless value.

🇮🇹 Italian Police Unit Confirms Old Report Was Never Investigated
The special unit of the Italian state police (DIGOS) has confirmed that “evidence exists” of a report filed decades ago regarding sniper tourists but no criminal investigation was ever launched. The case was likely dismissed, which is standard procedure after so many years, according to the Italian outlet Panorama.
In an article by Fausto Biloslavo, written in collaboration with journalist Eldin Hadžović, Panorama reveals that members of an airsoft club from Trieste warned Italian police between 1993 and 1995 about an alleged offer “to go to Sarajevo and shoot with a sniper.” Despite this, no investigation was ever opened.
