Many private schools in Wisconsin that accept taxpayer-funded vouchers have anti-LGBTQ+ policies, often motivated by Christian beliefs and supported by state or federal laws.

Administrators of Sheboygan Lutheran High School canceled valedictorian Nat Werth's speech in 2019 after he came out as gay in a draft of the speech. Four years later, Werth said the school's handbook has expanded to include extensive anti-transgender policies.

The school’s current handbook dedicates over 1,000 words to a policy that uses Biblical teachings as the basis for its anti-transgender policies.

🇩🇪👶 New data from Germany from the 2022 microcensus shows childlessness is (minimally) on the decline there.

While it was 21% for the cohorts born 1966-1968 and 1969-1971, it was 20% for 1972-1974 and 1974-1977 cohorts and also already only 20% for 1978-1980 cohorts which may still decline a little after the survey was taken in 2022, for 1981-1983 cohort it stood at 22% which will still decline more.

Childlessness level varies a lot by state. It continues to be higher in the West than in the east. For 1974-1977 cohort it was 20% in Western and 15% in Eastern states without Berlin. The highest childlessness level was observed in Hamburg at 29% followed by Berlin with 25%, the lowest was Thuringia with 13%.

Childlessness level also varied by origin of the mother. It was 22% for those, that grew up in Germany, and 12% for those immigrating after the age of 15.

If successful, the TMSR-LF1 has the potential to open doors for developing and constructing a more extensive demonstration facility by 2030. Additionally, it could lead to constructing a TMSR fuel salt batch pyro-process demonstration facility, which would enable the utilization of the thorium-uranium cycle by the early 2040s.

The renewed talks have troubled some Israeli officials, who worry that the implementation of new understandings could reduce Western economic pressure on Iran and even lead to a broader nuclear agreement that Israel fears could throw a lifeline to Tehran’s economy without sufficiently derailing its nuclear activities.

The United States’ reliance on nuclear power is primed to grow as the country aims to decrease reliance on fossil fuels. But no American-owned company enriches uranium. The United States once dominated the market, until a swirl of historical factors, including an enriched-uranium-buying deal between Russia and the United States designed to promote Russia’s peaceful nuclear program after the Soviet Union’s collapse, enabled Russia to corner half the global market. The United States ceased enriching uranium entirely.

Roughly a third of enriched uranium used in the United States is now imported from Russia, the world’s cheapest producer. Most of the rest is imported from Europe. A final, smaller portion is produced by a British-Dutch-German consortium operating in the United States. Nearly a dozen countries around the world depend on Russia for more than half their enriched uranium.
