🚗 Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the opening ceremony of the northern bypass of Tver and Togliatti bypass driving a Lada Aura.

🛣 The new 60-kilometer highway bypassing Tver is the final stage of the construction of the M-11 "Neva" highway. Thanks to the new bypass, travel time between Moscow and St. Petersburg on the M-11 will be reduced by almost an hour.

"We are taking another step in strengthening the transport and economic connectivity of the regions, in developing efficient logistics and a safe road network, in forming promising international transport corridors, and most importantly, in improving the quality of people's lives. Transport, logistics - is always the foundation for increasing economic activity, and therefore, the quality of life," Putin said during the opening of the new highway.

The World Games of Friendship have been postponed to 2025.

"The Games of Friendship were planned. Officially, I know that these Games have been postponed to the next year," said the head of the Russian Weightlifting Federation (FTAR) Maxim Agapitov at a press conference in Novosibirsk.

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation expects to double the trade turnover with African countries by 2030.

"Over the past five years, the share of African countries in our total trade turnover has increased from 2.5% to 3.5%. Currently, this is not a significant amount. In absolute terms, it was around $24.5 billion last year. However, according to our forecasts, by 2030, this trade turnover could reach between $50 billion and $60 billion, depending on the scenarios that unfold," said Vladimir Ilyichev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

🛡Ilyichev emphasized that Russia is systematically strengthening trade ties with African and Middle Eastern regions. To achieve this, the country is assisting Russian businesses in entering new markets and working on improving conditions for foreign economic activities.

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇷In particular, Russia is signing free trade agreements. Last year, such an agreement was signed with Iran. Negotiations with Egypt and the UAE are in the final stages, and agreements with Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia are being worked on. Russia is also currently negotiating with the UAE.

📈According to Ilyichev, these agreements will not only increase mutual flows of services and investments but also enhance the effects of trade liberalization through additional preferences in the transportation, logistics, insurance, technical servicing, and settlement of transactions.

In Russia, as part of the presidential program, over 1,200 schools have been built, and 4,122 have been renovated since 2019.

"1,236 schools and 1,680 kindergartens have been constructed, and 4,122 buildings have undergone major renovations. This year, an additional 1,057 schools are planned to be repaired using funds from the federal budget, as per the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation," said Yakushev.

"Now we need to take the next step, namely: to move towards a broader, full-scale implementation of the digital ruble in the economy, in economic activities, and in the financial sphere," the head of state said at a meeting on economic issues.
