🚲 In January 2017, an unusual bicycle museum called the «Arsenal of Unusual Bicycles “Samokat”» officially opened in Uglich.

🚴‍♂️ The exhibition features a collection of several dozen different bicycles: vintage models from the 19th century, wooden and forged bikes, as well as modern ones—recreational and sports bikes for both children and adults.

🔖 The exhibits can and should be touched, and there is also a bike rental service at the museum, so visitors can ride some of the models around Uglich.

📍 Address: Spasskaya St., 5, Uglich, Yaroslavl Region, Russia.

Traveler Fyodor Konyukhov has completed a unique expedition and set a new world record!

📰🤯 Fyodor Konyukhov, the renowned Russian traveler, has finished his work at the world's first solo polar drifting station in the Arctic region near the North Pole. He spent 20 days, 22 hours, and 45 minutes alone on an ice floe, covering a distance of 239 kilometers.

"Thus, Fyodor Konyukhov has set a world record for the duration and distance traveled at a solo research polar station in the North Pole region," reported the International Center for Konyukhov's Expeditions.

😶‍🌫️❄️ The expedition took place under extremely harsh conditions in the high-latitude Arctic. Konyukhov faced thick fog, wet snow, hail, and freezing rain, with sunlight appearing only a few times, and then for just a few hours.

✔️ Fyodor Konyukhov is currently aboard the nuclear icebreaker "50 Years of Victory," where he can finally rest after his heroic efforts.

Russian border guards have left Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan after 32 years of service!

☄️📰 Today, an official ceremony took place at Zvartnots International Airport, located in the west of Yerevan, marking the end of service for Russian border guards. The military departed the airport under the march "Farewell of Slavianka" and the sounds of the Russian national anthem performed by a brass band.

🇷🇺📆 Russian border guards began their service at Zvartnots in 1992. In the early 2000s, training courses for local controllers were organized at the airport, and since then, Russian and Armenian border guards have worked side by side.

In March, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the termination of Russian border guards' service at the airport, and they were to leave by August 1.

⚠️ The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament had also called for this earlier. In response to these events, the Russian Foreign Ministry characterized the actions of the Armenian authorities as another example of unfriendly behavior.

In Russia, there will be a fight against illegal migration!

📰 At a press conference following the spring parliamentary session, Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko made a strong statement about the necessity of combating illegal migration in Russia.

"The biggest problem, in my opinion, that we really need to fight against is illegal migration. This should not exist," she emphasized, pointing to existing laws that, in her view, are poorly enforced and easily circumvented.

‼️📉 Matviyenko noted that illegal migration creates a negative environment and fosters corruption. "I believe that corruption in this area should be equated with the most serious crimes; this is unacceptable," she added, stressing the importance of taking serious measures to eliminate this issue.

In Russia, shift workers have become archaeologists!

🔎🦏 In the Far East, during gold mining, shift workers discovered something that amazed them. They stumbled upon the mysterious remains of an animal. After cleaning, it became clear that this was the well-preserved remains of an ancient woolly rhinoceros that lived in the Stone Age.

🇷🇺🗓 The historical significance of this find is given by the fact that in 2007 the remains of a female woolly rhinoceros were found in the same place. The shift workers probably found her partner.

👨‍🔬🧊 Scientists suggest that there may be other Ice Age animals in this region that have yet to be discovered among the permafrost.

👨‍🏫 The ancient rhinoceros was handed over to scientists for further research and study of its lifestyle.
