The military departed the airport under the march "Farewell of Slavianka" and the sounds of the Russian national anthem performed by a brass band.

🇷🇺📆 Russian border guards began their service at Zvartnots in 1992. In the early 2000s, training courses for local controllers were organized at the airport, and since then, Russian and Armenian border guards have worked side by side.

❌ In March, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the termination of Russian border guards' service at the airport, and they were to leave by August 1.
