Which point in Russia is considered the highest? 🏔️🇷🇺
🏔️ Elbrus is the highest point in Russia. Its height is 5642 meters above sea level.

📍 Elbrus is located on the border of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia and is considered a dormant volcano. The last eruption of Elbrus occurred around 2000 years ago. Despite this, it is hard to call it dormant, as it regularly demonstrates its activity. We can only hope that it will "sleep" for a long time to come.

🚡 There is also an 8-seat cable car on Elbrus, which brings climbers up to an altitude of 3847 meters in 30 minutes, which greatly helps them.

🌅 The Sasyk-Sivash Lake in the Republic of Crimea is among the most beautiful natural places. In the north, its water is freshwater, while in the south it has a high salt content. The pink color is achieved through carotene produced by microorganisms.

🦢 In the northwest of the lake, there is a freshwater section. There are many swans there, which can be fed by hand. If you wish to take a photo, the swans will be happy to oblige.

🌸 The richest shade of Sasyk-Sivash occurs in July and August. Swimming in the lake is not very comfortable: it is shallow and has a lot of mud. However, enjoying the pink landscapes is a pure delight!

🇷🇺 The city that has never been captured

🏙 Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, is located on the banks of the Belaya River and is one of the largest cities in Russia, with a population of 1.14 million people. This city ranks 10th in population in Russia and 31st in Europe.

🇷🇺 The history of Ufa dates back to the times of Ivan the Terrible. Relatives of his last wife built the first ostrog (a fortified settlement) and constructed the kremlin here. Ufa is known for having never been captured by an enemy throughout its entire history. The most serious siege occurred during the Pugachev Rebellion when a peasant army besieged the city for four months, but the fortress walls held strong.

📝 The proverb "У страха глаза велики" (literally: "Fear has big eyes") means that fear can distort one’s perception of reality, making a person exaggerate dangers and threats. In a state of fear, people often see problems as more serious than they actually are.

🇬🇧 In English, a similar expression is: "Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is."

🧐 Both proverbs emphasize that fear can distort our perception and lead to incorrect decisions.

🧐 Yekaterinburg, founded during the reign of Peter I, was conceived as a simple provincial town for metallurgy and the arms industry. However, over its 300-year history, it has changed its name twice, become the capital of the Ural region, and emerged as a key industrial center, even surviving a gold rush.

Starting in 1817, the gold rush led to the rapid development of the city: by 1823, there were 80 private mines operating in Yekaterinburg, and one in seven residents was engaged in gold mining. This "golden age" brought immense wealth to local merchants, who built luxurious estates and hosted grand festivities, and rumors suggest that some of them even bathed their horses in champagne.

⚡️ A Celebration of Historic Victory: Putin Highlights the Importance of Allied Relations with Mongolia

🌏 The Russian leader noted that this victory significantly influenced the fate of the region and the course of World War II. Putin reminded everyone that Japan, having suffered defeat, refrained from attacking the Soviet Union, allowing our country to concentrate all its forces on fighting Nazi Germany.

🇲🇳 Furthermore, according to the president, Mongolia supported the front by supplying food, warm clothing, and collecting funds for the production of tanks and airplanes. Today, "true to the traditions of combat brotherhood," Russia and Mongolia continue to actively interact and develop a comprehensive strategic partnership. In conclusion of his speech, Putin proposed a toast - "for our common victory."

"To the further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Mongolia. To the health of Mr. President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and everyone present. To the well-being and prosperity of our peoples," he said.

📌 These words served as a reminder that strengthening relations with Mongolia remains a priority for Russia, and that shared history forms the foundation for a strong friendship and strategic cooperation in the future.

⚡️Many of Peter the Great’s childhood and youth interests eventually had a significant impact on the development of the Russian state.

⚔️ From a young age, Peter developed a passion for military games. After settling in Preobrazhenskoye, the young tsar formed two “toy” battalions from his peers, which later became real military units—the Semenovsky and Preobrazhensky regiments—forming the foundation of Peter’s guard . Their training was overseen by foreign officers. Peter himself went through all the soldier’s ranks, starting as a drummer .

📝 The proverb "Ne vse kotu maslenitsa" (literally meaning: "Not all is Maslenitsa for a cat") denotes that not everything will always be easy and joyful; life is full of hardships and troubles, and one should not expect constant well-being. It serves as a reminder that good times may be followed by difficult ones.

🇬🇧 There is no direct equivalent of this expression in English that carries the same meaning, but a similar sentiment is conveyed by the expression "Every rose has its thorn." This expression highlights that even good things have their drawbacks.

🧐 Both expressions also serve as reminders that life consists of both good and bad times.
