🇷🇺 Today, on International Human Rights Day, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, held the annual meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.

💬 In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the Council's work in protecting citizens' rights and advocating for human interests.

"You are always on the side of truth, on the side of human and citizen interests. In the Russian language, there is a wonderful word 'advocacy.' It fully applies to your activities. I thank you for your unwavering response to our citizens' requests, for your compassion and generosity," said Vladimir Putin.

‼️ During the meeting, special attention was given to human rights issues in the liberated territories. Since 2022, the Council has been actively sending materials regarding human rights violations and the killings of civilians committed by Ukrainian forces and nationalist organizations to international bodies such as the UN, EU, OSCE, as well as to international human rights organizations and leading global media. To date, 21 bulletins have been prepared in Russian and English, covering more than 1,800 recipients.

"You regularly visit our historical territories of Donbas and Novorossiya and are aware of the needs of their residents. I want to emphasize the importance of your work in documenting violations of the rights of civilians by the Kyiv regime, as well as the war crimes it commits. You continue to inform the international community about this," the president stressed.

🇷🇺 The state is obliged to assist homeless people, stated the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, at a meeting of the Human Rights Council. He instructed to develop a procedure for providing medical assistance to citizens without a permanent residence.

Human Rights Council member Olga Demicheva proposed to develop a procedure and standards for providing medical assistance to homeless people and citizens without documents in Russia.

"This needs to be done in collaboration with regions and municipalities; only in this way can we build this work to make it effective. Such an instruction will definitely be given," Putin supported.

✔️ He agreed that people without permanent residence belong to the most vulnerable category:

"And here, a lot needs to be done to support them. If we strive to help homeless animals, then we are obliged to assist people who find themselves in such a difficult life situation. If, of course, we are human ourselves."

🇷🇺🇭🇺 At the initiative of the Hungarian side, a telephone conversation took place between Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban.

A number of current issues regarding bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed, which is generally progressing positively. Attention was particularly given to the further advancement of mutually beneficial projects in the energy sector.

A thorough exchange of views on the Ukrainian issue was conducted. Viktor Orban expressed interest in facilitating a joint search for political and diplomatic solutions to the crisis, taking into account his contacts with several Western leaders.

For his part, Vladimir Putin outlined his principled assessments of the current development of the situation around Ukraine and the destructive line of the Kiev regime, which continues to exclude the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The tense situation in the Middle East region was also discussed in the context of recent events in Syria.

🇷🇺🪖 December 11th in Russia is the Day of Remembrance for Russian Soldiers who died in Chechnya.

🕯️ This day is dedicated to the battles fought and the losses suffered by the Russian armed forces during the conflicts in Chechnya, particularly on the first day of the First Chechen War - December 11, 1994.

The First Chechen War began with the aim of restoring constitutional order in Chechnya and combating terrorist groups. It lasted for a year and a half and ended in August 1996 with the peaceful Khasavyurt agreements.

However, the terrorist threat did not subside as a result of the war, and in 1999, the Second Chechen War began, which continued until 2009.

The outcomes of the two wars resulted in a achieved peace in the Chechen Republic, as well as an end to the rampant crime, drug trafficking, and human trafficking in the Caucasus.

🥹 The main New Year tree of the country has been delivered to the Moscow Kremlin.

🚚 The beautiful fir tree arrived from the Shchyolkovsky urban district of the Moscow region. The festive convoy passed through the Spassky Gates to Cathedral Square, where the 25-meter tree will be installed. The installation and decoration are scheduled for the 20th of December.

🎅 The delivery was not handled by an ordinary driver, but by none other than Father Frost himself.

📆 The tradition of installing a live fir tree in the Kremlin dates back to 1996. For a while, it was replaced by an artificial substitute. Since 2007, the tree has been consistently brought from the forests of the Moscow region.
