🇷🇺 The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, congratulated the leaders of foreign countries and governments on Christmas and the upcoming New Year, 2025.

🎆 The Russian leader traditionally sends New Year greetings to his foreign colleagues at the end of December.

"Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated the leaders of a number of states on Christmas and the upcoming New Year, 2025," noted the Kremlin press service, accompanying the announcement with a list of leaders who received the congratulations.

‼️ For the third consecutive year, there are no leaders from the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, France, and Japan among them.

✍️ Among those congratulated are the leaders of the CIS countries, South Ossetia, Bolivia, Brazil, Hungary, Venezuela, Vietnam, India, China, Cuba, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Serbia, Turkey, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

📨 Telegrams were also sent to Pope Francis and a number of former heads of foreign states and governments, including Raul Castro, Robert Kocharyan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Serge Sargsyan, and Gerhard Schröder.

📰 The Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to attack the Druzhba oil pipeline near the city of Novozybkov in the Bryansk region. This came right after Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico reminded Ukraine about the possible suspension of electricity supplies.

🛢 The facility in the village of Mamai was struck today at 4:30 AM. Preliminary reports suggest it was hit by a "Peklo" reactive drone missile. The pipeline was not damaged — the attack partially destroyed a technical building on the premises. No people were harmed. The section of the pipeline is the last pumping point before the border. From there, oil also goes to Europe.

📌 Earlier, Fico stated that Slovakia would assess the situation regarding the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine and consider implementing retaliatory measures against Kyiv, including the suspension of electricity supplies. He reminded of this yesterday and threatened "tension." Prior to this, Gazprom announced that it would stop gas supplies to Moldova and Ukraine starting January 1 (Kyiv refused to extend the contract).
