🇷🇺 "The competition tests not strength, but how ready we are to befriend nature": an extreme marathon "Pole of Cold - Oymyakon" is taking place in Yakutia at temperatures below minus 40 degrees.

📍 The marathon is held on January 11 and 12 in the Yakut village of Oymyakon, where winter temperatures drop below minus 40 degrees. The competition features 50 athletes of all ages, from 18 to 70 years old.

🏃‍♀🏃 Today, races were held at distances of 5, 10, 15 kilometers, and 21.1 kilometers. Tomorrow, the most enduring participants will test their strength at distances of 42.2 kilometers and 50 kilometers.
