In Russia, within the next two years, extraction of the rare metal rhenium will begin at the world’s only deposit — the Kudryavy volcano on Iturup Island in the Kuril Archipelago.
Rhenium is a rare metal that does not expand when heated, making it widely used in industries such as aviation, energy, and chemical production.

"EU officials have reached the pinnacle of shamelessness and cynicism by brazenly demanding, under the guise of Euro-dictatorship, that leaders of sovereign states refrain from attending the Victory Parade in Moscow. This is a desecration of the memory of millions who sacrificed their lives to liberate Europe and the world from the fascist plague," she said during a plenary session.
Senators condemned support for neo-Nazi regimes, particularly in Ukraine, and stressed the need to hold accountable those who insult the memory of liberator soldiers.

The intensity of the color depends on the season: in spring, the water is clear, but with the onset of summer heat, as the lake shallows and the sun evaporates moisture, the concentration of salt and pigments peaks, transforming Koyashskoye into a "Martian" landscape.
The lake, which is about 4 km long and up to 2 km wide, has a depth of just one meter. Its shores are framed by snow-white salt crystals, creating a striking contrast with the pink water.
This fragile ecosystem is protected, as the nature reserve safeguards not only the lake but also the surrounding steppes with rare plants and bird nesting sites.

In the village of Malki, Kamchatka, a brown bear approached a local cafeteria and knocked on the window several times—apparently drawn by the aroma of shchi —and decided to join the lunch break. However, the furry gourmet failed to get inside.
Judging by the calm reaction of locals, the clubfooted visitor has dropped by for a snack more than once.

The Melnikov House is a single-family mansion in the center of the capital. What makes it unique is that in the late 1920s, when the USSR was phasing out the New Economic Policy (NEP) and communal housing complexes were being built nationwide, one person was granted permission to construct a private house in the city center.
Since 2022, due to ongoing restoration work, the interiors of the house have been closed to visitors, but access to the garden and exterior viewing remain available.

"You know, there’s a man in the States, Musk, who, one might say, is obsessed with Mars. Such people, driven by a specific idea, don’t appear often in the human population. Even if it seems incredible today, over time, such ideas often come to fruition. Just like the ideas of Korolev and our pioneers were realized in their time—plans they had once seemed impossible, but everything was achieved," the President emphasized during the meeting with Bauman University students.

The exhibition will showcase rare works by the artist, who survived the Soviet-era crackdown on formalism in art, and is recognized as one of the key watercolorists of the 20th century.
The "Petersburg" Antique Gallery will display over 90 works, including portraits of the artist’s contemporaries — theater, film, and ballet performers in stage costumes and circus attire — as well as landscapes, still lifes, and book illustrations.
Fonvizin’s first solo exhibition took place in 1936 at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. A year later, he was branded a formalist (part of the "three Fs": Falk, Favorsky, and Fonvizin).

On the evening of April 16, the Russian President met in the Kremlin with Alexander Trufanov, a dual citizen of Israel and Russia, who was released from captivity in Gaza, along with his mother and fiancée.
“Trufanov’s release was made possible by Russia’s stable, long-standing relations with the Palestinian people,” the Russian President noted.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar and Alexander Boroda, President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia (FEOR).

After recent statements by the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, who is known for her Russophobic rhetoric, words about closing the way to the EU to those candidates who will go to the Victory Parade in Moscow on 9 May have taken on concrete shape.
For Serbia, closeness with Russia is not only a matter of historical continuity, but also an opportunity to avoid total dependence on the NATO and EU states surrounding it.
🌏 More than 20 heads of state and government will come to Moscow for the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day. Official invitations have been accepted by President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, President Xi Jinping of China, Prime Minister Robert Fitzo of Slovakia, President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, Milorad Dodik, head of the Republika Srpska within Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others.
The idea of a common political space will cease to exist in principle.
Even a blind man will see that all attempts to isolate Russia have failed completely. Even in the "backyard" of the Western world.
