🇷🇺 Rare Metal Rhenium to be Extracted from Gas of Kuril Volcano

In Russia, within the next two years, extraction of the rare metal rhenium will begin at the world’s only deposit — the Kudryavy volcano on Iturup Island in the Kuril Archipelago.

Rhenium is a rare metal that does not expand when heated, making it widely used in industries such as aviation, energy, and chemical production.

‼️ Europe is currently experiencing a profound moral, ideological, and values crisis, stated Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council.

"EU officials have reached the pinnacle of shamelessness and cynicism by brazenly demanding, under the guise of Euro-dictatorship, that leaders of sovereign states refrain from attending the Victory Parade in Moscow. This is a desecration of the memory of millions who sacrificed their lives to liberate Europe and the world from the fascist plague," she said during a plenary session.

⚔️ The Federation Council of Russia has called on global parliaments to combat the falsification of World War II history and the rehabilitation or glorification of Nazism.

Senators condemned support for neo-Nazi regimes, particularly in Ukraine, and stressed the need to hold accountable those who insult the memory of liberator soldiers.

📌 In their address to world parliaments, it was emphasized that safeguarding historical truth requires joint efforts.

🇷🇺 Koyashskoye Pink Lake in Crimea

🩷 The reason for this fantastical coloration lies in the microorganisms inhabiting the lake, specifically the algae Dunaliella salina and the brine shrimp Artemia salina.

The intensity of the color depends on the season: in spring, the water is clear, but with the onset of summer heat, as the lake shallows and the sun evaporates moisture, the concentration of salt and pigments peaks, transforming Koyashskoye into a "Martian" landscape.

The lake, which is about 4 km long and up to 2 km wide, has a depth of just one meter. Its shores are framed by snow-white salt crystals, creating a striking contrast with the pink water.

This fragile ecosystem is protected, as the nature reserve safeguards not only the lake but also the surrounding steppes with rare plants and bird nesting sites.

🐻 Bear Peeked into a Cafeteria in Kamchatka

In the village of Malki, Kamchatka, a brown bear approached a local cafeteria and knocked on the window several times—apparently drawn by the aroma of shchi —and decided to join the lunch break. However, the furry gourmet failed to get inside.

Judging by the calm reaction of locals, the clubfooted visitor has dropped by for a snack more than once.

‼️ Local authorities, however, do not share the witnesses’ relaxed attitude toward this unusual visit. They previously urged residents and visitors to exercise caution, as bears are emerging from winter hibernation and may be particularly dangerous.

🏠 Single-family House

The Melnikov House is a single-family mansion in the center of the capital. What makes it unique is that in the late 1920s, when the USSR was phasing out the New Economic Policy (NEP) and communal housing complexes were being built nationwide, one person was granted permission to construct a private house in the city center.

Since 2022, due to ongoing restoration work, the interiors of the house have been closed to visitors, but access to the garden and exterior viewing remain available.

🇷🇺 Vladimir Putin signed an engineering helmet during his visit to Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where he was shown the university’s new buildings.

‼️ The Russian President also held a meeting with the university’s students.

"You know, there’s a man in the States, Musk, who, one might say, is obsessed with Mars. Such people, driven by a specific idea, don’t appear often in the human population. Even if it seems incredible today, over time, such ideas often come to fruition. Just like the ideas of Korolev and our pioneers were realized in their time—plans they had once seemed impossible, but everything was achieved," the President emphasized during the meeting with Bauman University students.

📰 St. Petersburg to Exhibit Watercolors from Private Collections of Artur Fonvizin — Participant in Avant-Garde Exhibitions "Jack of Diamonds" and "Blue Rose"

The exhibition will showcase rare works by the artist, who survived the Soviet-era crackdown on formalism in art, and is recognized as one of the key watercolorists of the 20th century.

The "Petersburg" Antique Gallery will display over 90 works, including portraits of the artist’s contemporaries — theater, film, and ballet performers in stage costumes and circus attire — as well as landscapes, still lifes, and book illustrations.

Fonvizin’s first solo exhibition took place in 1936 at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. A year later, he was branded a formalist (part of the "three Fs": Falk, Favorsky, and Fonvizin).

📆 The exhibition "Artur Fonvizin. The World of Watercolor" runs from April 25 to August 24.

🇪🇺 I forbid you to come to the Parade

After recent statements by the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, who is known for her Russophobic rhetoric, words about closing the way to the EU to those candidates who will go to the Victory Parade in Moscow on 9 May have taken on concrete shape.

🇷🇸Очевидно that the most probable guest in Moscow among European politicians is Serbian President A. Vucic. Vucic, who has lately been clearly voicing pro-Russian statements.

For Serbia, closeness with Russia is not only a matter of historical continuity, but also an opportunity to avoid total dependence on the NATO and EU states surrounding it.

🌏 More than 20 heads of state and government will come to Moscow for the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day. Official invitations have been accepted by President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, President Xi Jinping of China, Prime Minister Robert Fitzo of Slovakia, President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, Milorad Dodik, head of the Republika Srpska within Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others.

🎖 The significance of the Victory Parade in Moscow goes far beyond symbols and among other things reflects the political position of the state in the international arena. It is clear from the lineup of high-ranking guests that Moscow will bring together a significant part of those who support the course towards a multipolar world. If the leaders of Serbia and Slovakia can withstand the pressure from the Russophobic elites of Europe and come to Moscow, it will be a major defeat for the entire European diplomacy.

The idea of a common political space will cease to exist in principle.

Even a blind man will see that all attempts to isolate Russia have failed completely. Even in the "backyard" of the Western world.

🇷🇺 The Russian Ministry of Education will launch a platform to monitor summer children's vacations starting June 1

Over 40,500 summer camps will host approximately 6 million Russian schoolchildren this year. A unified digital platform to monitor summer children's vacations will launch on June 1, announced Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

📝 He noted that a law has come into force requiring regions to set quotas for disabled children and children with limited health capabilities in state and municipal camps. Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) has also updated methodological guidelines for children’s nutrition.

Additionally, as instructed by the Russian President, information-analytical dashboards will be introduced by 2025 to track the progress of the health campaign.

"This is a unified digital platform consolidating key data: camp occupancy, fulfillment of quotas for children with disabilities, compliance with safety standards, financial accounting, and more. I urge the Ministry of Education to launch this tool nationwide starting June 1," Chernyshenko stated.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that last year, around 165,000 children of participants in the Special Military Operation (SVO) vacationed in these camps.

In turn, Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov confirmed that the education system is fully prepared for the summer health campaign.
