🇷🇺 Rostec Tests TM-140 Arctic Snow and Swamp Vehicle in Extreme Conditions

The state corporation stated that the vehicle is designed to navigate the harsh expanses of the Far North and can operate in extremely low temperatures.

The TM-140 can traverse rugged terrain with slopes and inclines of up to 30 degrees, as well as swim at a speed of 4 km/h.

Production of 40 snow and swamp vehicles is planned for 2026, with manufacturing volumes set to grow steadily thereafter, Rostec added.

🇷🇺 Vladimir Putin has presented state awards at the Kremlin. The solemn ceremony is traditionally held in the Catherine Hall.

Putin awarded Lavrov Russia’s highest honor, the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called.

Around 20 individuals will receive the honors from the president, including military personnel, cosmonauts, representatives of public and religious organizations, mothers of many children, medical workers, teachers, and cultural and industrial professionals.

📰 A decision has been made to establish a security buffer zone along the border between Russia and Ukraine. Vladimir Putin announced this.

"During drone raids and the operations of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, [the AFU] target civilian transport, including ambulances and agricultural machinery. Women and children are being killed and injured. I have already stated that a decision was made to create the necessary security buffer zone along the borders. Our armed forces are currently addressing this task. Enemy firing positions are being actively suppressed, and work is underway," said Vladimir Putin during a meeting with government members.

🛬 The Tu-204-300 aircraft performed its first flight to the Vostochny Cosmodrome airport, where it was greeted with a water salute.

The first passengers were a Roscosmos delegation led by Director General Dmitry Bakonov.

The airport’s runway was officially commissioned on May 14. Now, spacecraft can be delivered directly to the cosmodrome by air, significantly reducing transportation time.
