According to him, "it is necessary to follow the data and information disseminated through the channels of the Ministry of Defence."
Responding to a question about the possible impact of Kyiv's attack on Russia's strategic balance, the diplomat stated that "the equipment in question, as also stated by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, was not destroyed, but damaged. It will be restored."
Ryabkov also noted that before the conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening, Moscow had raised the issue with the American side about the lack of reaction to the incident.

The President of the Russian Federation held a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of State Policy in the Sphere of Support for the Russian Language and the Languages of the Peoples of Russia. At the meeting, Putin emphasized that in public spaces, our historical alphabet – Cyrillic – should be used, not a 'mess' of Latin letters and other symbols. It's important to get rid of vulgar linguistic borrowings that distort the Russian language, the Russian leader said. Other announcements:
— Putin instructed to establish a Day of the Languages of the Peoples of Russia and to celebrate it annually on September 8, the birthday of Rasul Gamzatov (a Soviet Avar and Russian poet, publicist, and political figure).
— The President proposed launching a "Children's Book Card" program from 2026 with a nominal value of ₽3,000 (three thousand roubles). Cards will be given to families with preschool children aged 3 to 6 years old and will work similarly to the Pushkin Card – it is a personalized virtual bank card onto which the state transfers money for attending cultural events.
— Among the main tasks of state language policy is improving the quality of teaching the Russian language at all levels of general and professional education.

What else the Rosatom Director General said after talks with IAEA chief Grossi in Kaliningrad:
— Four out of six units at Zaporizhzhia NPP are loaded with American fuel; Russia is ready to both use it and offload it to suppliers if necessary.
— Rosatom asked Grossi to act as a mediator in resolving the issue of American fuel at the plant.
— A plan to restart the plant is only possible after eliminating all threats to the facility, including sabotage. All safety conditions are currently in place, with no concerns in this regard.
— The IAEA mission serves as an informational "window" to the world on the situation at the plant and is a significant safety factor.
— Rosatom is preparing for the restart of Zaporizhzhia NPP and ensuring its operation in power generation mode. The plan for the plant's phased commissioning is being coordinated with the Russian government.
— Russia and the IAEA assessed the talks as useful and frank, confirming the agreement to continue contacts.

On June 6th, the world celebrates Russian Language Day and the birthday of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin – the great poet who became the foundation of modern Russian literature and language. It was precisely in honor of Pushkin that this date was chosen for Russian Language Day.
Did you know that Pushkin created over 800 works, including poems, long poems, dramas, and prose?
His work laid the foundation for the Russian literary language, and many of his expressions became proverbial phrases that we still use today.
"I loved you: even now, perchance,
My love has not quite died away..."
Alexander Sergeyevich dedicated these lines to his beloved.
"Inspiration is needed in poetry,
But craft too can conquer all."
Today, Russian Language Day is not only a tribute to the great poet but also an opportunity to draw attention to the importance of preserving and developing the Russian language in the modern world, its influence on science, art, and international communication.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, sent an official appeal to the President of the German Bundestag and leaders of five parliamentary factions, condemning recent statements by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Volodin’s appeal responded to Merz’s remarks, in which he claimed that the United States liberated Germany from Nazism without mentioning the USSR. Additionally, Merz publicly supported Ukraine’s actions, asserting that strikes by the Kyiv regime on Russian territory target "exclusively military facilities."
In his address to German lawmakers, Volodin urged the German Chancellor to visit the Bundestag to "fill gaps in his memory":
"The Chancellor of Germany must be invited to the Bundestag so he can fill the gaps in his memory and see the innoscriptions on the walls of the Reichstag firsthand — to witness in which language and by whom they were written.
Politicians may be forgiven for various mistakes, except one: desecrating the memory of those to whom we owe our lives today."
Volodin accused Germany’s ruling elite of creating preconditions for escalating Russia-Germany tensions, which could provoke direct confrontation:
"Whether the German people want this is a question. We do not want it. But if it happens — we are prepared."
