Russia has resolutely condemned Israel's use of force against Iran, placing responsibility for its consequences on the Israeli government.

While Russia proceeds from the understanding that resolving issues surrounding the Iranian nuclear program has no military solution, Israel has made a conscious choice in favor of further escalation of tensions.

Our Foreign Ministry also stated that the West, which provoked anti-Iranian hysteria at the IAEA, whose staff, among others, came under Israeli fire, must realize the results of its destructive course.

The Russian Federation calls on all parties to exercise restraint in order to prevent further escalation and the region sliding into a full-scale war, and also expects balanced and objective assessments of the situation in the Middle East from the IAEA Director General.
