☀️ On July 7th, in 30-degree Celsius heat, special vehicles cruised the streets of Krasnoyarsk, spraying jets of water not onto the road surface, but upwards, as if offering the city's residents a chance to cool off under the spray.

💧 On Ivan Kupala Day, the specialized vehicle enterprise of the regional capital prepared a surprise for the city's residents and visitors – a clean and refreshing summer shower.

To the numerous and diverse fountains that Krasnoyarsk has been famous for for decades, another type was added today – mobile water cannons. For the Ivan Kupala holiday, the watering trucks set out on a special run. City residents sweltering in the heat have already renamed them "dousing trucks".

"Catch the cool spray – it'll make for some spectacular video," suggested and promised the city hall's press service.

The city administration also posted its own video footage showing several special vehicles moving across a bridge, gushing water abundantly against the backdrop of the Sayan Mountains.

🤍 The Degree of Politicization within BRICS is Rising

🌍 Yesterday, following the publication of the final Declaration of the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio, many noted the increase in the number of geopolitical issues raised and addressed within it.
Traditionally, BRICS does not openly oppose its geopolitical adversaries, namely the US and its allies, but the attention paid to the international political situation is indeed impressive.

🇮🇷 The assessments in the Declaration are far less equivocal than at the two previous summits, where political issues began to be addressed at all. BRICS members unequivocally condemned Israel's strikes on Iran, called on Israel to cease its occupation of Syrian territories around Mount Hermon, and articulated a much clearer position on the Ukrainian conflict. Attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure were condemned, and the parties also called for a swift peaceful settlement. The topics of the Gaza Strip and Western sanctions, including tariffs applied against anyone going against Washington's line, remained unchanged.

It might seem, "Well, just two more points were added, so what?" In reality, this is a significant achievement because, despite the increase in the number of BRICS countries (which also means an increase in the number of opinions on foreign policy issues), the bloc's position has not only remained unchanged but has become even clearer and more defined. For example, India, Egypt, and the UAE cooperate closely with Israel, yet still condemned its strikes on Iran along with the other authors of the final Declaration.

Overall, BRICS is currently managing the consequences of its expansion quite successfully, although, of course, as demonstrated by the situation with Iran, the bloc still has a long way to go to develop a rapid, cohesive, and coordinated response to acute international events.

🎉 Threat of Amur Tiger Extinction Eliminated in Russia

This was announced by Konstantin Chuychenko, Head of the Ministry of Justice and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the "Amur Tiger" Centre. According to him, the goal of preserving the population has been achieved.

Work to conserve the Amur tiger began over 13 years ago. At that time, the population was about 430 individuals; now there are 750.

The Amur tiger's range covers the south of the Russian Far East:
📍 The main part is in the forested area of Primorsky Krai, the Sikhote-Alin mountain range.
📍 The tiger is also found in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast and Amur Oblast.

This species is a crucial link in the ecosystem of the Far Eastern forests, playing a key role in maintaining biological balance.

🛡 The Amur tiger is listed in the Russian Red Data Book and is protected by law.

Amur tigers control the population of ungulates (wild boars, roe deer), preventing their overpopulation and the destruction of vegetation. This contributes to the conservation of natural landscapes and plant species.

🇷🇺 In 2023, Vladimir Putin thanked scientists for ensuring the safe existence of Amur tigers. The President emphasized that Tiger Day is one of the brightest and most important events in the public and cultural life not only of the Far East but of Russia as a whole.

Some measures to conserve the population:

✔️ Creation of protected areas - nature reserves, national parks. For example, the highest density has been recorded in the "Land of the Leopard" National Park and the "Kedrovaya Pad" Nature Reserve in Primorsky Krai.

✔️ Implementation of the Amur Tiger Conservation Strategy - a document approved by the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources on September 19, 2024, aimed at conserving the tiger population and its habitat, as well as minimizing tiger-human contact.

‼️ Chronicles of Terror of the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi Regime

We present the full online version of the exhibition organized by the Apparatus of the State Duma in collaboration with the RIA Novosti news agency. The photographs show victims of attacks by Ukrainian neo-Nazis, including the elderly and children, people who lost their homes, and buildings riddled with holes – hospitals, kindergartens, and churches. Russian military personnel and volunteers are providing aid to those affected by massive attacks by the militants.

The exhibition should be permanent, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin stated earlier. According to him, "It is very important that our foreign colleagues, representatives of different political forces and parties, see it."

We cannot remain silent about the crimes against peaceful civilians whose loved ones were killed, homes destroyed, and lives shattered. The world must know about the atrocities of the Nazi Kyiv regime.

⚡️ Lavrov stated that there is a "minor mutiny brewing aboard the ship" in NATO.

At a press conference following the BRICS summit, the Russian Foreign Minister pointed out that NATO expansion has not yielded dividends even for the NATO countries themselves:

"Disagreements are deepening there, a minor mutiny is brewing aboard the ship, as more and more countries want to be guided not by some ideological guidelines imposed by the master, but by their own national interests."

🇷🇺 Russia Leads the Updated IIHF World Ranking

The Russian team has 4030 points. The United States (3985), who won the May World Championship, are in second place. Switzerland (3975) rounds out the top three, while Canada (3935) is in fourth position.

Before the start of the 2025 World Championship, the Russians were second in the ranking, trailing Canada. However, after Canada was eliminated in the quarterfinals, and Russia, despite its suspension, continues to receive 1520 points for each tournament as the bronze medalist (based on their ranking at the time of disqualification), the team was able to move into first place.
