Yaropoletskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant

The Vladimir Lenin Yaropoletskaya HPP, the first rural hydroelectric power plant in Russia, is located on the Lama River in the village of Yaropolets, Volokolamsk Urban District. It was destroyed by the Germans during the war. Today, the restored buildings and the dam are historical monuments.

📍 By car: about 100 km from the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) via the Novorizhskoye Highway, then turn right into the town onto Novosoldatskaya Street. After 900 meters, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout, then go straight for 16 km to the village of Yaropolets.

🦕 A dinosaur park has appeared in Muzeon Park as part of the "Territory of the Future" festival.

The figures are very realistic; they move and make various sounds. You can touch the dinosaurs — their "skin" is very soft and pleasant to the touch.

Here, besides dinosaurs, you can also see other animals - it all looks very impressive, children will be delighted!

⛪ Procession of the Cross Held in Moscow — Thousands of Faithful Gathered on the Feast Day of the Synaxis of the Moscow Saints

A historic tradition has been revived in the capital today — a city-wide Procession of the Cross timed to the feast day of the Synaxis of the Moscow Saints. The procession, which had not been held for several years, is being led by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. It began following the Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. As noted by the Russian Orthodox Church, the organizers expect about 20,000 people to take part.

The faithful will walk a route of about 6 km — from the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour to the Novodevichy Convent. Some city streets have been closed for this event.
