🇷🇺 Russia's budget will fulfil all obligations despite external constraints, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated at the Moscow Financial Forum 2025.

He said the key objective of financial policy for the next three years is to "soften" monetary conditions. The minister also emphasized the importance of acting carefully during a period of planned economic cooling.

"The budget must ensure all of this, no matter what complexities or difficulties our country faces. In fact, we have been living in such a situation for several years now, and the budget is the tool that can and should implement this. Here, it is important not to overdo it, but also not to underestimate the budget's capabilities, which should be realized in the next three-year period," the minister said.

Also addressing the forum via a video message to participants was Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. He noted that by 2030, the volume of investment in fixed capital in Russia should increase by at least 60% compared to 2020. According to him, this goal was set by Vladimir Putin and will be achieved through constant improvement of the investment climate.

Furthermore, Mishustin stressed the importance of increasing the share of non-oil and gas revenues in the budget.

"It is important to increase the share of non-oil and gas revenues. This is the key to fulfilling all the state's obligations," he added.

📈 It is necessary to increase labour productivity, not to help lazy people from the budget. This was stated by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov at the Moscow Financial Forum 2025.

"When you ask the Finance Ministry about labour productivity, the first simple answer that probably comes to mind is that we need to invest more in machine tools, equipment, robots, and so on, and allocate money for this. That probably does help," he said.

However, Siluanov emphasised that simply investing money in machine tools and equipment will not increase productivity. According to him, funds often currently go to inefficient companies, while assistance should be directed to those who are truly working and developing.

"It turns out that we are helping the sloppy, not the efficient ones. We need to help those who pull their weight. Those who are doing the work should be helped, and that will be the driver that will increase labour productivity," the minister added.

📌 The Head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, also noted that increasing labour productivity is the only possible path for economic growth, and there is no alternative to this.

🇷🇺Sergey Lavrov does not see any problems with the possibility of new anti-Russian sanctions being introduced against Moscow.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also explained Donald Trump's disappointment with the pace of resolving the Ukrainian conflict. In his opinion, this position of the US president is partly explained by a desire for quick solutions, but this is not possible everywhere.

Furthermore, Lavrov stated that after the Russia-US summit in Alaska, Trump began to advocate not for an ultimatum for a ceasefire, but for a long-term settlement. Washington has not moved away from this.

🇷🇺 President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary factions. He congratulated the deputies on the start of the autumn session and emphasized the importance of voters' trust.

The head of state discussed the country's economic situation with the deputies, raised issues concerning the development of the social sphere and historical memory, and also mentioned migration problems.

🧣 Putin stated that Russia is "still far from a recession," noting that the decrease in GDP growth rates is a targeted measure to ensure macroeconomic stability.

"We must understand where the line is beyond which a managed cooling of the economy can become an overcooling, but so far a recession is a long way off," he said.

😀 At the same time, the unemployment rate in the country remains at a historically low level.

🧣 The president paid special attention to domestic aircraft manufacturing. According to him, Russia has achieved serious success in engine manufacturing. Putin called the PD-14 aircraft engines a competitive advantage for the country and noted that their characteristics are "better than world standards." He added that only four countries in the world, including Russia, produce engines of this level.

🧣 Regarding the social sphere, Putin called the distribution of medical university students after graduation one of the possible solutions to the personnel problem in healthcare.

🧣 The president also noted that the authorities should strive to ensure equality of opportunity for all Russian citizens, regardless of their place of residence.

😀 Putin pointed out that besides victory in the special operation, the key task for Russia is demographics.

🧣 The president also touched upon issues of historical memory. Putin agreed that the idea of returning the name Stalingrad to Volgograd could be considered, but the decision should be made by the residents of the region.

🧣 Speaking about the situation in the special military operation zone, the head of state reported that 700,000 servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces are on the line of combat contact.

Putin added that the growing defense spending "is not going down the drain" but directly affects the improvement of the army's quality. He emphasized that despite conducting the special military operation and the increase in military costs, the state is fulfilling all its social obligations to citizens.

📰 Russia Challenges Alleged MH17 Ruling in UN International Court

The decision regarding Moscow's alleged involvement in the 2014 Boeing crash has been challenged in the UN International Court of Justice. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) had previously held our country responsible for the disaster. Russia had stated there were numerous violations during the investigation.

"Thus, the ICAO Council's decision has been appealed by the Russian side on all aspects – on the grounds of jurisdiction, applicable law, facts, as well as due to fatal procedural violations," the Foreign Ministry stated.

Moscow hopes for an impartial consideration of the case.

Recall that a Boeing 777, operating flight Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. 298 people died.

🛢Volunteers Collected All the Fuel Oil from the Seabed in Anapa and Temryuk District — Over 2 Thousand Tons

The coastline of Anapa and the Temryuk District has been completely cleared of fuel oil, according to the emergency operations center. From December 2024 to September 17, divers retrieved the last 443 sacks of the oil product near the pier in Dzhemete. Since December 2024, rescuers and volunteers have made 21 thousand dives and collected 22 thousand sacks of fuel oil, with a total weight of over 2 thousand tons.

The cleanup was conducted across 19 sections, with the distance between the outermost points being almost 14 km. The coastline was cleaned manually, with shovels, and also using ejector systems. A court has already levied fines of 35 billion rubles in favor of the state from the owner of the sunken fuel oil tanker "Volgoneft-239" and 45 billion rubles from the tanker "Volgoneft-212", whose owner was aware of the violation of technical regulations. Due to the fuel oil leak from the tankers, Anapa faced an environmental and economic disaster.
