"Your key tasks include managing military and dual-purpose satellite constellations, identifying threats to Russia in and from space, and, if necessary, effectively neutralizing them," stated the telegram published on the Kremlin's website.

The head of state is confident that the Space Forces will continue to steadfastly guard the nation's strategic interests and "make a significant contribution to the implementation of the national space program and ensuring the country's defense capability."
