In both cases, it triggers apoptosis—programmed cell death. At the same time, the substance almost does not damage normal lymphocytes. Therefore, a drug based on it could be safer for patients.

For now, scientists must determine whether this mechanism works on other types of cancer cells and confirm the effectiveness of this approach, according to the Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry.

Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov announced the packed program of Vladimir Putin’s upcoming two-day visit to India.

Official negotiations in narrow and expanded formats are scheduled for December 5th.

The Russian delegation is impressive in scale: it includes the heads of security and key economic ministries, as well as the Chairman of the Central Bank. Ushakov noted that interest in the trip was so high that the delegation had to be cut down — they had to make "painful cuts."

Special attention will be paid to economic cooperation. The President will be accompanied to India by representatives of Sberbank, Rosneft, VTB, and other major companies. Putin and Modi will speak at the Russian-Indian Business Forum and also hold a ceremony to exchange ten agreements.
