The Tories fantasies about the trade unions being led by modern day Arthur Scargill's would be amusing were it not so tragically far away from the truth. In reality the bulk of the trade union leaders collaborate with the Tories with leaders like Scargill and the late Bob Crow standing out precisely because they did not.

KEMI BADENOCH: Unions want to undo all the work we have done
A well-functioning economy is one that finds the right balance between employees and employers. The right to strike must be balanced by our rights to go about our lives safely, without being put at risk.

Egotism has no place in communist organising. What you have done is only important in terms of how you have connected with the masses, how you have brought workers towards scientific socialism and how you have built up a Communist Party as a disciplined, militant workers organisation. Our individual contributions are not part of a CV or reputation building exercise. We rely on the work of our comrades who came before us, those who struggle with us in the same cause today and those who may be unknown to the class but whose contribution makes our work possible. Pride in our work is important but it is never about us as individuals nor should we ever make it so. Bourgeois egotism is the enemy of communist discipline and we should work to remove it from out individual psychology. Take pride in your work as an expression of the collective effort, known that you did your work well but that your work was dependent upon the actions of many other comrades. That is the way to avoid a collapse into petty outbursts of vanity which most workers will be repelled by.

It may be true that all this theatre about 'will they won't they' send Nato troops to Ukraine is just a cover for the fact that the decision has already been taken. But if that is true, I'm not convinced it means automatic nuclear armageddon.
Judging from how the war has played out so far, it seems more likely to me (speaking as a non-military observer), that, as was the case with the tanks, long-range weapons and fighter jets the Nato countries were also NOT going to send (allegedly out of a desire not to escalate the war into a direct confrontation), any troops that arrive in Ukraine from other Nato members (most likely more disposable east Europeans or other foreign forces like the French foreign legion or Britain's Gurkhas) will be destroyed as they get there, having little or no chance to impact the battlefield.
What the lunatics in Brussels, Washington, Paris, Berlin and London cook up after that in their desperate quest to keep the show on the road is anyone's guess. Whatever they try though, it's clear to anyone with eyes they can only postpone the end-by date so far.
The war is lost. They just can'e bear to face up to what that means.

This interview was soon after the NUJ described myself and others as “extremists” and voted down a motion calling for solidarity and the establishment of Media Workers for Palestine, saying it wasn’t our job to give a voice to Palestinians.

🇺🇸🇬🇧Chevron to Exit English North Sea After Over Five Decades
Chevron Corp., one of the largest U.S. oil corporations, has announced its plans to divest its assets in the English North Sea. The American oil giant has operated in this region for more than 55 years, as reported by the Financial Times. This move is part of a strategic shift following a comprehensive review of Chevron's global asset portfolio, which aims to concentrate on more strategic and competitive projects. Chevron has clarified that its decision to exit is not influenced by the tax regime or political environment in England.
It's worth noting that in the UK, energy companies are subject to a 75% tax on profits. This tax policy has led to the withdrawal of several major foreign corporations from the English sector of the North Sea. For instance, ExxonMobil ceased its operations in this area three years ago.

A country cannot fully exercise its sovereignty while indebted to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The conditions and structural adjustment programs often imposed by the IMF in exchange for financial assistance can significantly influence a nation's economic policies and priorities. These conditions will include austerity measures, privatisation of state-owned enterprises, and liberalisation of trade and investment policies. Consequently, the country will find its ability to independently determine its economic and social policies constrained, undermining its sovereignty and self-determination.
The reliance on IMF loans and adherence to its prescribed policies can lead to an external control over national affairs, challenging the notion of true sovereignty.

“Bright future”: Ukraine is among the top 3 most debt-ridden countries
An excellent infographic from the International Monetary Fund, which perfectly shows what Vladimir Zelensky has brought the country to during his five-year term in office.
Ukraine is in third place in terms of debt to the IMF: only Argentina and Egypt have lent more to Kiev.
It is obvious that the Kiev regime will not be able to return such a large amount - there is no production of its own, the country needs subsidies and cannot exist without external funding.
Either the Office of the President will have to repay debts by moving industry to Europe, as well as with its territories, or declare a default in the country, which is tantamount to capitulation to Russia.
This is not exactly what Ukrainians expected when they voted for Zelensky...
