Congratulations to Spurs on winning the Europa League and, against the odds, booking their place in next season’s Champions League. It’s a big moment for the club, especially given how inconsistent their league form has been this season. This is their first piece of silverware since 2008, and lifting a European trophy is no small feat. A long wait for success, but a night their fans won’t forget.

Look at this list of derisory pay ‘awards’ in the public sector. Who is there who believes such ‘raises’ will bring the workers concerned anywhere close to keeping up with what inflation is doing to their pay???

As one of my nursing comrades put it: “My colleagues have got used to getting paid pennies for work most people wouldn’t want to do despite having skills many people don’t possess.”

‘Toxic masculinity’ is a nonsense term. It doesn’t describe a class. It doesn’t describe a system. It describes a vague set of behaviours supposedly unique to men, divorced entirely from the economic conditions that produce those behaviours.

The working class hates what passes as the 'left'; woke, green, opportunist, reformist, chauvinist, trot, apologists for imperialism. Communism has to constantly distance itself from leftism, we are not leftists! We are genuine anti Imperialists, scientific socialists, communists!

The Labour vs Tory pantomime is the great lie of British politics. Both are parties of capital, playing different roles in the same system.

The Tories act as the open administrators of class rule. Labour steps in when the Tories fall out of favour. Its job is to steer workers away from class struggle and into safe channels of reformism and identity politics.

Trotskyist affiliates exist to mop up militant energy and redirect it back into the arms of social democracy, neutralising class consciousness before it takes root.

Labour and its subservient Trotsky groups are not our allies. They are the first line of defence for British capitalism. The road to revolution begins with exposing and breaking their grip on the working class.

The capitalist powers are forever trying to rewrite history in to demonise socialism. One of their most insidious lies is the claim that the Soviet Union was in league with Nazi Germany, using the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact as so-called evidence. But this is pure distortion. Long before that non-aggression agreement, it was Chamberlain’s Britain that sought alliance with the fascist forces of Germany and Italy, culminating in the betrayal of Czechoslovakia through the Munich Agreement and the shameful handover of the Sudetenland. This was not peacekeeping, but an open attempt to direct fascist aggression eastward, towards the rising socialist state of the U.S.S.R.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was not to create friendships with the Nazi's but to give the soviet people time to prepare for war.

The Labour party serves Imperialism, therefore, trade unions who are affiliated to the Labour party are also serving Imperialism, they are taking subs from working class members to help fund the maintenance an economic system that is designed to keep the working class exploited, alienated, and without political efficacy. This is the function of social democratic parties in Imperialist countries. The ONLY way out of this cluster fuck is a strong communist party, and communist led trade unions.

Trade union membership has been in decline since 1979, but the examples of Sandie Peggie and the Darlington Nurses show clearly that if any member of a trade union fails to adhere to a very narrow set of principles set by the party bureaucracy, they’ll be dropped like a hot potato.
