Unionized workers and the "Workers Party" in Indonesia have been protesting for seven consecutive days demanding an increase to the minimum wage to help with inflation and rising living costs. For a week, workers have marched 120 kilometers across the country to the State Palace in the capital, Jakarta.
The Indonesian Federation of Metalworkers' Union (FSPMI) is also calling for more jobs and improved healthcare. Indonesia, the fourth-most populous nation in the world, has been struggling with skyrocketing inflation since 2021.
Organizers called the "long march" a workers' struggle with the long-term goal of "occupying the State Palace, the Constitutional Court building, and the House of Representatives building together with millions of workers."

Here is our statement on the foolish, short sighted and opportunistic policy of the TUC on industrialisation policy. By agreeing with the governments war drive against Russia and China the TUC is doing a disservice to the British working class.

— 🇸🇦⚽️ BREAKING: Saudi Arabia wants to reward the winner of the Saudi Pro League with qualification to the UEFA Champions League
The idea would be to formulate a request to UEFA for a "wild card" team to participate in the Champions League, which will be played by 36 teams from 2024/25.
Critics have ridiculed the idea, stating that apparently "money can change geography", refering to the fact that the UEFA is only open to European nations.
If sucessful, qualification of Saudi teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr could mean a return of players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema to the Champions League.
