The United States has launched a brazen act of imperialist aggression against Venezuela, seizing democratically elected President Nicolás Maduro from his home alongside his family under the pretext of “narco-terrorism”. This is not law enforcement. It is regime-change politics by any means, aimed at breaking a sovereign state that refuses to submit and throwing the country open to Western capitalist expansion
We’ve seen this pattern before. Especially in Latin America that the US claims as it's backyard. Sanctions, coups, kidnappings, always dressed up as justice, always ending the same way. The real target is the Venezuelan working class. Our solidarity is, and always will be, with them, against imperialism and against the criminal arrogance of the US state.

The much maligned US immigration agency ICE has now been arresting Native Americans in its round-ups of so-called “immigrants”. The agency is formally tasked with removing people not born in the United States, which makes the detention of Indigenous people, native to this land, entirely outside even its own legal pretext. These arrests are not about immigration. They are acts of racialised class control, enforced through skin colour and state power.
This is not an irony or a mistake. It is the logical outcome of a long term settler state that has always asserted the right to decide who belongs on stolen land. From the Indian Removal Act to the reservation system, from the Dawes Act to the carving of artificial borders through Indigenous nations, native existence has been criminalised whenever it obstructs expansion and profit.
The United States is not accidentally racist. It is a settler-colonial capitalist project built on enslavement, land theft, and the violent disciplining of labour. Agencies like ICE function to police the working class, terrorise surplus populations, and enforce racial hierarchies that suppress wages and fracture communities.
Law, citizenship, and “border security” are not neutral principles but tools of class rule, dressed in moral language and exported globally as freedom. What is happening now is not a deviation from American values, but their clearest expression. The mask has slipped revealing the true face of imperialism.

Native Americans are being swept up by ICE in Minneapolis, tribes say
Tribal leaders say Indigenous people have been stopped, questioned, harassed and, in some cases, detained solely on the basis of their skin color or names.

Shocking stat of the day:
The top 10% of US earners now reflect a record 49% of all consumer spending.
This percentage has risen +13 points over the last 30 years, marking a dramatic shift in spending power.
At the same time, the bottom 80% of earners represent just ~37% of total consumer expenditures, down -11 percentage points since 1995.
This means the top 10% account for a record 33% of US GDP, as personal consumer expenditures account for 68% of total economic output.
Meanwhile, the bottom 80% account for just 25% of the US economy.
Asset owners are the only winners in this economy.

US oligarchs have all the money. American’s often claim Russian oligarchs have all the money and everyone in Russia is dirt poor but the statistics* are Russia (33.0) is closer to Norway (26.5), then it is to the US (41.8). Other sample numbers UK (32.4), Germany (32.4), Spain (33.4), Australia (33.8).
*Gini index = lower the number the more equal and higher the number the more inequality
