The Labour government of 1945-1951 repeatedly used the army to break strikes here are just three examples.

1945 - Just after taking office it used the army to break a ten week long London Dock strike
Winter 1945 - It used 20,000 troops as scab labour to break another strike on the London Docks
1951 - Used a wartime law prohibiting strikes to subject seven trade unionists to criminal prosecution.

All done under the watch of "the most radical government Britain ever had".

On this day a year ago, Paul Mason and his fellow British imperialist agents in the trade union movement (including ASLEF, GMB, CWU and TSSA) and others held a rally in London to stand ‘in solidarity’ in Ukraine.

These agents of British and US imperialism would have you believe (and I’m convinced that they hold this belief themselves) that the conflict in Ukraine began in February 2022, when in fact its roots go back as far as 2014 and the US-backed Maidan ‘revolution’, if not further.

It was during this ‘revolution’ in 2014 that fifty people were burned to death in a Trades Union House in Odessa, a fact that the British trade union movement has chosen to ignore.

At this demonstration on 9th April 2022, demonstrators bearing the banners of these imperialist-supporting trade unions chanted: “Put an end to Putin’s reign, arm, arm, arm Ukraine”, a clear call to escalate the brutal armed conflict in the region.

Meanwhile, arch-imperialist and ruling class collaborationist Paul Mason declared his determination to see Russian President Vladimir Putin “hanging from a meat hook” (in a clear reference to the execution of Benito Mussolini in 1945). Peter Tatchell, at the same demonstration, compared Russia to Nazi Germany and supported regime change in the Russian state.

This demonstration brought deep shame and disgrace on ALL those trade unions and other affiliated parties who adorned their name to it.

Looking more closely at this resolution of the CPB, it's the most parlous and self-contradictory drivel imaginable. Aimed to please everyone, it will please no one.

For a start, the whole statement is rendered abysmal by the constant genuflections before divisive and anti-worker Scottish and Welsh nationalism, and the CPB's desire to advise on 'better methods' of devolution.

Instead of clearly pointing out that the relentless promotional campaign of gender ideology at vulnerable young people (the vast majority of whom have mental health disorders or one kind or another) is the most heinous child abuse, while the business side of providing these non-proven sterilising 'treatments' (mutiliations) has created a machinery worthy of Dr Mengele, the CPB simply mouths platitudes about 'women's spaces' while trying to 'balance' this shockingly 'outspoken' stance with ridiculous statements about how trans treatment needs to be facilitated!

The only people to benefit from lowering the age of consent for and further facilitating access to treatments from 18 to 16 will be the medico-pharma corporations. The children concerned and their families will face a lifetime of suffering and regret -- and an increasing lack of REAL treatment for the mental health challenges they face. Instead of being helped to find a way to overcome alienation, anxiety and dysphoric feelings, they will be sold the illusion that only 'treatments' of the surgical and hormonal variety will do.

By the time they realise this was a horrific lie, irreparable damage will have been done. The demand of 'more resources' for transition instead of for rebuilding meaningful community structures and facilities and working towards creating a social environment in which mental health disorders are not proliferated in the way they currently are (jobs, maybe? a sense of hope for the future? a sense of purpose and meaning in life? an end to allowing every 11-year old to carry the unrestricted internet in their pocket?) is simply absurd. Morevoer, it essentially accepts the whole rotten premise of the sickening 'gender reallocation' industry.

The rest of this pedantic document is so much legalistic guff to cover this capitulation. The use of the word 'communist' to describe such a traitorous approach is the final insult -- not only to communists, but to the working class in general.
