The writer here still doesn't come to the full conclusions of what is happening/happened to British football.
The advent of the premier league, every single club 1st division club resigning from the national league to start the new shiny league, has been a succession of decisions that have been designed to consolidate the cash flow. Creating this immobile group of teams in British football to rule over all.

This is essentially just monopoly capitalism at a football level. These clubs are nothing but corporations acting as capitalists do in an attempt to corner the market in which they profit from.

Via the Wall Street Journal, the US Justice Department is contemplating permitting WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense and avoid extradition to the US on espionage charges.

In recent months, Assange's legal team and US officials have engaged in initial discussions to outline a potential agreement, according to sources.

Nevertheless, Barry Pollack, a lawyer representing the imprisoned journalist, informed the newspaper that “there are no signs” that the department is prepared to endorse the proposed deal.
