Interesting note here. The Syrian Transitional Government sent a delegation from its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Syrian Foreign Minister Mr. Asaad Al-Shaibani, to the ongoing Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany. They met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the sidelines of the conference.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) confirms that a Convoy transporting the outgoing UNIFIL Deputy Force Commander to Beirut International Airport, was attacked and burned tonight by a Crowd of Hezbollah Supporters. The Deputy Commander and several other U.N. Peacekeepers were injured in the Attack.

President Zelensky reiterated the main points of his meeting with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his call with U.S. President Donald J. Trump. President Macron released a reciprocal statement that spoke of independent European defense initiatives and the need to end the war.

According to the Department of Government Efficiency on 𝕏, this letter was sent to the education departments of all 50 states. The letter states that all programs and initiative related to DEI, in accordance with past executive orders by President Donald J. Trump, must be removed in the next 14 days. If they fail to do so, their eligibility for federal funding will be under review.

“The Department will vigorously enforce the law on equal terms as to all preschool, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary educational institutions, as well as state educational agencies, that receive financial assistance.
The Department intends to take appropriate measures to assess compliance with the applicable statutes and regulations based on the understanding embodied in this letter beginning no later than 14 days from today’s date, including antidiscrimination requirements that are a condition of receiving federal funding.”

Early reports claim that a recent strike on a vehicle in the Idlib area of Syria was carried out by a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone. These reports have yet to be confirmed and there is no statement from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) as of yet.

An unrelated update from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has said that that Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), in concert with CENTCOM forces, conducted a strike in the area around Rawa, Iraq that killed five ISIS operatives.
Per the release:
“An initial post-strike clearance confirmed the dead ISIS operatives, various medium and small caliber weapons, grenades, suicide explosive belts, and ammunition.”
According to the release, Coalition Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CTF-OIR) did provide intelligence and technical support to the ISF.
Per the release:

Three Israeli hostages were freed in the early hours of the day today. Alexander (Sasha) Tropanov, Yair Horn, and Sagi Dekel-Chen were freed by Hamas and have now been reunited with their families after more than a year in captivity. This comes after significant hiccups in the Israeli-Hamas negotiation process. More photos and videos of the exchange to follow.
