Unlike most everybody else who's trying to get ahead of the Damar Hamlin story, I have taken care of countless patients on ventilators with a similar situation of coding, intubation, heart stimulation, thumping, and nine minutes is a long time without oxygen to the brain, and the heavy narcotic sedation required to prevent panic and suffering while vented.
