For 8 days, 1176 citizens of Georgia have already transferred money for the action, and 9 people personally provided generators. Now the total amount of collected funds will be enough for 200 generators.
The initiators of the campaign say - “There was an idea to unite the people and buy generators that will arrive in Kyiv by December 24th. The fund-raising will continue until December 12th. At this point, we need to collect resources and buy generators. Then transfer them to Kyiv, where a local NGO will deliver them to the 100 most affected cities and regions.”

The lawyers filed a corresponding application after the publication of the conclusion of an independent examination with the participation of foreign doctors and a serious deterioration in the health of the politician. According to lawyers, some of the diagnoses can serve as the basis for a positive decision by the court.
❗️ On December 6, the Council of Doctors, created by the public defender Nino Lomjaria, recommended taking "timely and fundamental measures" to prevent the "irreversible deterioration" of the health of ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili. The report states that he is in a serious condition, with fever, anemia, decreased muscle mass and cognitive impairment, among other symptoms.

👮🏻‍♂️ A high-profile case of extortion from tourists in Georgia was considered by the Tbilisi City Court: 14 people were found guilty.

Three of them: the owner of the capital's clubs "Kalakuri" and "Royal" and the organizers of the fraudulent scheme received 8 and 8.6 years in prison. The rest of the defendants in the case, who pleaded guilty and cooperated with the investigation, were sentenced by the judge to non-custodial sentences.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Education, 20,694 foreign students study in the country. Teaching is in English (in two or three cases, in Russian). Compared to the same period last year, +3706 students were added. Most of all foreign students are citizens of India (this is especially noticeable in the Saburtalo district of Tbilisi, where the medical university is located). 👮🏻‍♂️Three citizens accused of assaulting a pensioner in Kakheti were sentenced by the court to imprisonment.

A resonant event took place in June of this year in the Kvareli Forest. The defendants cynically beat and insulted an elderly 68-year-old man, and also took money from the pensioner. In addition, they forced the victim to commit actions degrading his honor and dignity, recording everything that happened on a mobile phone.
The court sentenced two attackers to 6 and 4 years in prison, the third, a minor, to 4.6 years in prison.

⚧ The ECHR upheld the claim of three transgender men against Georgia.

The decision has already been published on the website of the European Court. The court ordered the state to pay 2,000 euros for non-pecuniary damage to each claimant and 9,812 euros additionally to one of the three participants in the claim.
ℹ️ In the case of “A. D. and Others vs. Georgia”, three transgender men appealed to the Strasbourg Court on the grounds that they could not obtain legal recognition of their gender in Georgia because they had not undergone a gender reassignment surgery.
According to Article 78(g) of the Law of Georgia on Civil Acts, the basis for making a change in a civil act record is gender change. In its decision, the court noted that “despite the fact that the right to change the gender in civil records has existed in Georgia since 1998, in fact there has not been a single case of successful legal recognition of gender change”. The Civil Registry notes that Georgian legislation does not precisely define what constitutes "gender change".

We gave birth in December 2021, having gone through several metropolitan clinics and settled on the Pineo Luxury maternity hospital. Several recommendations from our friends strengthened this decision and we did not regret it. There was always an individual approach (a separate elevator to their 4th floor, especially) and an attentive attitude, and for those who wish there is childbirth in the water. I was in the operating room during childbirth and the next three days in the hospital ward with my wife and child. Three meals a day (the most common), round-the-clock nurse nearby. The total cost for everything was about 3500 lari (about $1200). 📌 On the third day we were given a birth certificate (in Georgian). We registered it and apostilled it in the House of Justice. Further, you can contact your embassy (for Russians, in the section of interests of the Russian Federation, but registration should be made 2-3 months in advance), where you can get a passport for a child and certify citizenship. According to the place of birth, if two parents are foreigners, the child does not receive either a residence permit or citizenship. This is possible only if one of the parents is a citizen of Georgia.

This was stated by Georgy Mzhavanadze, an expert at the TBC Capital investment company:
“The residential real estate market has been developing rapidly throughout Georgia since 2022. There are positive trends in both sales and rentals.
