An-Nahl 16:97
English - Mohsin Khan/Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).

Virtues of fasting Ashurah (10 Muharram)
▫️The expiation of sins that is achieved by fasting ‘Ashoora’ refers to minor sins; with regard to major sins, they need separate repentance.
Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
Fasting the day of ‘Arafaah is an expiation for two years, and the day of ‘Ashoora is an expiation for one year, and if a person’s Ameen coincides with the Ameen of the angels, his previous sins will be forgiven… Each of the things mentioned may bring expiation. If he does something that expiates for minor sins he will be expiated, and if there are no minor or major sins, it will be recorded for him as good deeds and he will rise in status thereby… If there is one or more major sins and no minor sins, we hope that it will reduce his major sins.
—Al-Majmoo’ Sharh al-Muhadhdhab, part 6.

How to Fast Ashura (fasting on 9th & 10th Muharram/ just on 10th Muharram/ 9, 10,11/ 10 & 11? )
What we know from this:
-What is most preferred to is fasting on 9th and 10th
-One can fast on 10th alone and it is NOT makrooh (disliked)
-There is no daleel for fasting on 11th.
-Some scholars say it's mustahab to fast on 11th as well and they say it's to be on safe side due to any possibility of error in calculation of Hijri date. And due to this it's not declared as a bid'ah.
Allah knows best.

Ibn Qudamah said: “It is makruh to single out the day of Friday for fasting , unless that coincides with a fast which one usually observes, such as a person who fasts alternate days, and a day that he fasts coincides with Friday, or a person who has the habit of fasting on the first or last day of the month, or the middle day of the month.”
(al-Mughni, vol. 3, p. 53)
"The same applies to one who has fasts to make up from Ramadan. “It is permissible for a Muslim to fast on a Friday to make up a day from Ramadan, even if he fasts the Friday on its own.” (Fatwa al-Lajnah al-Daimah, vol. 10, p. 347)
Similarly, if ‘Ashura’ or Arafah coincides with a Friday, he may fast, because his intention is to fast ‘Ashura’ or ‘Arafah, not to fast on a Friday. And Allah is the Source of strength.
And Allah knows best."

Relentless Israeli attacks continue in the Gaza Strip, with deadly airstrikes pounding Gaza around the clock, claiming the lives of about 100 Palestinians each day.
