🇨🇴🪖🌹🇻🇪🇻🇪 — Retired military personnel from Colombia rejected Gustavo Petro’s proposal to coordinate the Armed Forces with Venezuela, warning that Nicolás Maduro’s regime has protected illegal armed groups and poses a risk to sovereignty.

📝 In a statement issued on August 13, 2025, the Colombian Association of Retired Military Forces Officers (ACORE) warned of serious legal, institutional, national security, and ethical implications that such an approach could bring.

🇨🇴 The organization recalled that the Venezuelan regime has allowed the presence of Colombian illegal armed groups, such as dissidents of the defunct FARC and the ELN, in its territory, facilitating supply routes, refuge, and drug trafficking movement in areas such as Apure, Zulia, and Amazonas.

TRUMP AND COOK MET TO DISCUSS APPLE’S PLAN TO INVEST $100 BILLION IN U.S. MANUFACTURING OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS, ADDING TO THE $500 BILLION APPLE PLEDGED EARLIER THIS YEAR
🇺🇸1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣🔣💲🧠🍏📰 ZeroHedge | Trump To Impose 100% Chip Tariffs, But Will Exempt US Investors Like Apple | August 6, 2025:

"With CEO Tim Cook standing next to him in the Oval Office as the president announced a fresh (and very laughable) $100 billion investment plan by Apple which it would then add to the $500 billion already pledged over the next 4 years (which is ridiculous since Apple spent $43 billion in capex in the past 4 years and generated less than $100 billion in net income in its best year), Trump announced he would impose a 100% tariff on chip and semiconductor imports, but would exempt companies moving production back to the United States.

Apple had previously pledged to spend $500 billion in the US over the next four years, an acceleration over its prior investments and previously announced plans, adding about $39 billion in spending and an additional 1,000 jobs annually. The announcement will bring Apple’s cumulative commitment to $600 billion, and appears to be an ad hoc bundling of pretty much everything on the income and cash flow statements, including CoGS, SG&A, CapEx, buybacks and so on. The previously-planned $500 billion was said to include work on a new server manufacturing facility in Houston, a supplier academy in Michigan and additional spending with its existing suppliers in the country.

“We’re going to be putting a very large tariff on chips and semiconductors, but the good news for companies like Apple is, if you’re building in the United States, or have committed to build, without question, committed to build in the United States, there will be no charge,” Trump told reporters."

China urges local firms to avoid Nvidia’s H20 chips for government work
🇨🇳🚫💻🧠📰 ZeroHedge | China Urges Tech Giants To Avoid Nvidia H20 Chips After Trump Lifts Sales Ban | August 12, 2025:

"Beijing is quietly discouraging Chinese firms, particularly those tied to state and/or national security interests, from using Nvidia's H20 AI chips, even after the Trump administration reversed a U.S. sales ban in exchange for 15% of related revenue. The move follows Beijing's concerns over a potential "backdoor" in the H20, an allegation Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has rejected.

The report comes from the Financial Times, which states that regulators at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) instructed tech companies, such as Alibaba and ByteDance, to explain why they need H20 chips instead of sourcing domestic alternatives.

"It's not banned but has kind of become a politically incorrect thing to do," said one Chinese data center operator about purchasing H20 chips."

NVIDIA AND AMD HAVE AGREED TO GIVE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT 15% OF REVENUE FROM AI CHIP SALES TO CHINA IN EXCHANGE FOR EXPORT LICENSES
🎥💻1️⃣5️⃣🔣💲🤝🇺🇸📰 Financial Times | Nvidia and AMD to pay 15% of China chip sale revenues to US government | Chipmakers agree to unusual arrangement to secure export licences from Trump administration | August 10, 2025:

"Nvidia and AMD have agreed to give the US government 15 per cent of the revenues from chip sales in China, as part of an unusual arrangement with the Trump administration to obtain export licences for the semiconductors.

The two chipmakers agreed to the financial arrangement as a condition for obtaining export licences for the Chinese market that were granted last week, according to people familiar with the situation, including a US official.

The US official said Nvidia agreed to share 15 per cent of the revenues from H20 chip sales in China and AMD would provide the same percentage from MI308 chip revenues. Two people familiar with the arrangement said the Trump administration had not yet determined how to use the money."

🇷🇺🇧🇷✈️⁉️🇻🇪🇻🇪 — The Russian Ilyushin IL-76TD aircraft, sanctioned by the U.S., which remained in Brasília for three days, has landed in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. The cargo plane, registration RA-78765, is sanctioned by the U.S. for transporting weapons to the regime of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.

📝 A check of ANAC records shows no request for a commercial flight by Aviacon Zitotrans, which has previously carried out other operations in Brazil. This has led to suspicions that it may have been a diplomatic flight, but no official explanation has been released by the authorities, even though the IL-76 remained parked on the apron of Brasília’s Air Base.

🇧🇴🇨🇴 After leaving the Brazilian capital, the plane flew to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where it stayed for a few hours before departing for Bogotá, Colombia, making another brief stop and then flying to Caracas.

🇨🇺 The expectation is that the IL-76 will continue on to Cuba or Moscow, according to the flight history of Russian-registered aircraft in the region.
