Tupi Report 🇧🇷 • #FreeVenezuela
Some important addendums:
➡️ More than 113 Deputies from the Center, Center-Right and Right of the Brazilian Federal Congress signed the protocol of Lula's Impeachment for violating Brazilian Diplomatic Neutrality (which has existed as an official Tradition since the times of the Brazilian Monarchy of Orleans and Bragança, by the way)
➡️ In a few days there will be anti-government protests that had already been scheduled for weeks by the opposition due to internal events related to the fact that the current Brazilian authorities weaponized the judicial system against key opposition figures. Expect to see certain media linked to the international liberal Left and some pro-Russian/Pro-Palestinian media outlets schizophrenically saying that the "Mossad and the CIA are using such protests to destabilize a Pro-BRICS and supposedly Pro-Palestinian Government", when everything, as impressive as it may seems, was an incredible coincidence of chance.
➡️ Lula managed to anger even Brazilian Labor Zionist Jews (who are notably Anti-Netanyahu and friendly to moderate Brazilian pro-Palestinian groups), such as the Organization of "Jews for Democracy", who donated and actively advertised for his campaign during the 2022 General Elections (see the post), which now are accusing "Lula of betraying his commitment of protecting religious, sexual and ethnic minorities, from which Jews are part"
By far, a funny sequence of events lies ahead, as the Brazilian side seems ready to double down on the bet more and more

Signal Finally Rolls Out Usernames, So You Can Keep Your Phone Number Private.
For nearly a decade, cybersecurity professionals and privacy advocates have recommended the end-to-end encrypted communications app Signal as the gold standard for truly private digital communications. Using it, however, has paradoxically required exposing one particular piece of private information to everyone you text or call: a phone number. Now, that's finally changing.

Bitcoin has failed on the promise to be a global decentralised digital currency and is still hardly used for legitimate transfers. The latest approval of an ETF doesn’t change the fact that Bitcoin is not suitable as means of payment or as an investment.
[...] We disagree with both claims and reiterate that the fair value of Bitcoin is still zero.

Bitcoin has failed to become a global decentralised digital currency, instead falling victim to fraud and manipulation.
The recent approval of an ETF doesn’t change the fact that Bitcoin is costly, slow and inconvenient, argues #TheECBBlog

🇵🇦🇨🇦 First Quantum seeks $20 billion over Panama mine closure order
Canadian miner First Quantum Minerals said on Wednesday it was seeking $20 billion through international arbitration after Panama ordered the closure of the company's flagship copper mine in the central American nation.
The company has lost over half its market value after Panama's surprise order in November to shut Cobre Panama mine, one of the world's largest. The country's top court ruled First Quantum's contract was unconstitutional following nationwide protests against its operation. The mine accounted for about 40%of the company's revenues.
First Quantum has filed arbitration as part of the free trade agreement between Canada and Panama. The company separately has also filed a case at the International Chamber of Commerce arbitration process.
For the quarter ending Dec.31, First Quantum reported a net loss of $1.45 billion.

🟥🟩🟥⚡️ President of the separatist regime in Tiraspol, Vadym Krasnoselsky, called for a general congress with all the elected officials in Transnistria to be held until the end of February.
At the congress, the officials will supposedly, present a "citizen initiative" demanding to be annexed by the Russian Federation.
An MP from Tiraspol, Ghenadi Ciorbă, who first relayed this information, added that on top of this congress, the Russian Federal Assembly (both houses of the State Duma and the Council of the Russian Federation) will adopt a decision on whether or not to "annex Transnistria", with Ciorbă saying that president Vladimir Putin, will first announce this intent on February 29th.
PAS MP and member of the Commission for National Security in Chișinău, Lilian Carp, said that whatever happens at the congress in Tiraspol, Moldova will disregard it.
Now, to prevent any wrong conclusions like Rerum Novarum posted, we have to remember that back in 2014, Transnistria did the exact same thing, asking to "join" the Russian Federation but was refused because the Maidan Revolution did not lead to the collapse of Ukraine as a state. Things might be different now if the Russians actually agree to annex the region but without a Russian army speeding towards Transnistria, the declaration will be just as symbolic as it was in 2014.
Both Chișinău and Kiev know that Transnistria was an initial goal of the Russian army during the early stages of the Russo-Ukrainian war in February-April 2022. If it wasn't eliminated at the time, why would it be eliminated now? Now when there's much less of a Russian threat to Odessa than it was during February-April 2022.
Like always, nothing ever happens...
