⚡️Apple & Google WiFi Surveillance Can Track Death & Destruction
@takebackourtech
Chances are, if you’ve used Google Maps or Apple Maps, you’ve contributed to one of the biggest surveillance databases in the world.
Known for their accuracy, big tech maps can locate your phone within a few meters and even indoors.
No, these big tech maps aren’t using GPS - they’re using WPS or Wi-Fi positioning system.
These WPS systems collect millions of WiFi networks and tag them with locations.
Researchers in Maryland discovered through a flaw in Apple’s WPS that they could gather at least 2B (2 Billion) WiFi location points by requesting WiFi networks at random.
That’s enough points to cover the world’s populated areas, notably China was nearly empty except for a few thousand points. Looks like even the CCP can’t opt out of this surveillance.
We did the work for them.
When you use Google or Apple maps, your phone will send the nearby WiFi networks along with their signal strength to the WPS. The WPS will look up these networks in a database that has hundreds of millions of networks along with their location. The calculation is then performed on the server for Google location’s service, and on the phone for Apple location’s service - which sent a list of 400 additional WiFi points back.
And this is how you get a precise location for your phone. Any new WiFi networks you scanned are potentially added to the WPS databases.
Apple & Google have made their users the instrument of their surveillance.
And the things you can do with this surveillance are harrowing. The researchers were able to see how many WiFi access points went offline in Gaza due to the constant bombardment that caused the deaths of 40,000 civilians.
Similarly the researchers were able to see the damage from the August 2023 Maui fires, and the emigration of people from Ukraine to escape forced connoscription.
Apple, Google and any organization they choose to share this WiFi data will have incredible capabilities. Don’t worry though - because these companies care so much about privacy - they give you a way to opt out.
Solutions
Add _nomap to the end of your WiFi SSID (name), Google and Apple promise not to index Wifi networks ending with those names.
Turn off your WiFi network and use ethernet cable.

💵 🇺🇸 The Income an Individual Needs to live comfortably in the U.S.
🔶️ In September 2022, the U.S. Census Bureau released a report on 2021 U.S. income. It's the most recent data available. However, the report focused on household income, and did not provide detailed information on how much individual earners made.
🔶️ The report found 37.6% of Black households made under $35,000 in 2021; 35.3% of American Indian and Alaska Native households made less than $35,000; 27.9% of households who were two or more races; 23.4% of white households; and 19.1% of Asian households, according to the report. (Some 28.9% of Hispanic households of any race made less than $35,000 in 2021, and at the time of this writing, the census defined Hispanic as an ethnicity, not a race.)
🔶️ According to the report, 9.3% of American households across all races made under $15,000; 8.1% of American households made $15,000 to $24,999; and 7.8% of Americans made $25,000 to $34,999. Added together, 25.2% of American households across all races made under $35,000 in 2021.
🔶️ In 2022, just over 50 percent of Americans had an annual household income that was less than 75,000 U.S. dollars. The median household income was 74,580 U.S. dollars in 2022.
🔶️ West Virginia is the least expensive for a single adult, who only needs to make an estimated $37.88 per hour, or $78,790 annually.
🔶️ To live comfortably on your own in the top five states, a person would need to earn nearly double the typical income for single earners, as the U.S. median income for single, full-time workers is around $60,000, according to Labor Bureau data.

— 🇮🇱 BREAKING: Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has dissolved the Israeli War Cabinet due to internal conflicts

🔶️ Ben Gvir and Smotrich’s continued influence, even from outside the war cabinet, was partly the reason for the resignation of war cabinet members Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot last week. The two centrists said they joined the cabinet to ensure the war was conducted responsibly, but have since concluded they couldn’t work with Netanyahu as long as he refused to commit to a day-after strategy for Gaza.
🔶️ The departure came after a string of military leaders made rare public statements airing their grievances with Netanyahu’s handling of the war in Gaza, with many saying that Israel cannot afford to continue it indefinitely, especially with tensions escalating on the Lebanese border.
🔶️ Brig. Gen. Efraim Sneh, a former deputy minister of defense, said that Israel has achieved its military objectives of degrading the majority of Hamas capabilities and can afford to declare an end to the war in Gaza, get back the hostages, and redirect its focus to distancing Hezbollah forces from its northern border.
🔶️ “Israel is in an unacceptable situation, in which a big part of the country has been deserted,” he said. He added that, while “Israel’s forces are stretched thin between Gaza and the Lebanese border,” Netanyahu’s far-right coalition partners are exacerbating the situation by blocking hundreds of thousands of Palestinian day laborers from entering Israel and enacting punitive measures against the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority.
🔶️ The IDF is moving closer to a larger war with Hezbollah, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli military, said in a video message Sunday. Fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified in recent weeks at the Lebanese border. “Hezbollah’s increasing aggression is bringing us to the brink of what could be a wider escalation — one that could have devastating consequences for Lebanon and the entire region,” Hagari said. After an Israeli strike killed a Hezbollah commander last week, a Hezbollah official said the militant group would retaliate with increased operations “in intensity, strength, quantity and quality.”

🇺🇸 ❌️ 🇨🇳 DJI drone ban passes in U.S. House — 'Countering CCP Drones Act' would ban all DJI sales in U.S. if passed in Senate
🔶️ The "Countering CCP Drones Act" is part of the United States' 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (FY25 NDAA), a major piece of yearly legislation allotting defense spending for the coming year.
🔶️ Drone maker DJI is based in China and controls over 70% of the world's drone market share, a combination that threatens U.S. lawmakers. As we first reported in April, 6% of DJI stock lies in the hands of Chinese state-owned businesses, which has led to fears of Chinese government backdoors, national security risks, and other fears of Chinese surveillance using the company's drones. And of course, there lies the more real concern for U.S. lawmakers that DJI's success would continue to strengthen the Chinese economy.
🔶️ While not as direct an attack on China as some moves associated with the U.S.-China trade war over semiconductors, the DJI ban would follow a tradition of tariffs and bans against successful Chinese companies in the U.S. Most bans affect the most commercially successful companies and entities from operation in the U.S., though lawmakers claim the goal is safety rather than a trade conflict. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently argued, "What we're focused on is only the most sensitive technology that could pose a threat to our security. We're not focused on cutting off trade, or for that matter containing or holding back China."

SEBIN detained two other young people from Vente, when they were leaving the María Corina commando
The regime of Nicolás Maduro intensifies the persecution against opposition activists. This Monday he arbitrarily detained two young people from the Vente Venezuela (VV) party when they were leaving the headquarters of the national command of the opposition leader, María Corina Machado, in Chacao.
The new victims are Ismael Gabriel González, a member of Machado's press team, and Javier Cisneros, national coordinator of Vente Joven.
Vente Venezuela reported that the young people were arrested by members of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (SEBIN) and that they are in a situation of forced disappearance.
With these two new victims, there are five activists detained by the Maduro regime in the last 72 hours, after the arrest last Friday of three opposition leaders in Vargas state.
