Russia has exchanged captured Ukrainian fighters, including Azov fighters and foreign mercenaries for Verkhovna Rada MP Viktor Medvedchuk. This is reported by Ukrainian sources.

The fact:
As a result of the exchange, 55 servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Donetsk and Luhansk republics returned home, and several dozen more Russian fighters will be released from captivity in the near future. The first photos and videos of the Russian soldiers and officers arriving home have already appeared on the Web. All of them are now in the medical institutions of the Russian Defense Ministry. They are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance.

The fact that Viktor Medvedchuk was among the prisoners of war is reported exclusively by the Ukrainian side, with no official confirmation from Russian officials. All the federal media write about it with a reference to Kyiv. This looks very much like a provocation by the Ukrainian psychological operations center, the purpose of which is to cause discontent among the Russian audience.
