Знаете, как на самом деле выглядит то, что во фронтовой сводке обычно называют «взятием опорного пункта противника»? Представьте себе промозглый рассветный час, редкий лес из уродливо «постриженных» осколками деревьев, глиняная каша под ногами, из укрытий — поваленные сосны да воронки от разрывов снарядов.

До окопа противника несколько сот метров, а оттуда щедро поливают из пулеметов. Артиллерия, конечно, отработала заранее по опорнику, но это никогда не гарантирует уничтожение врага, что и доказывают длинные очереди с той стороны, которые буквально выкашивают сначала одного твоего товарища, затем другого, третьего… Они падают раненые, а надо идти вперед.

Александр Мальцев из Санкт-Петербурга шел. Это был не первый бой 47-летнего мобилизованного. Все движения уже отточены до автоматизма, патроны зря не расходует, продвигается медленно и скрытно. Я смотрю на кадры, снятые с беспилотника, и понимаю, что редкий голливудский сценарист замахнется на такой эпизод. Не бывает же в реальности таких «Рэмбо»! Бывает…
