Former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson asked for an interview with Vladimir Putin, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT TV channel, said on the Rossiya 1 TV channel .

"He (Carlson. - Ed.), By the way, really asks for an interview with Vladimir Putin. If suddenly someone heard and informed the president, it would be great," she said.

In April, Fox News sensationally suspended Tucker, who is the highest-rated American journalist, from the air. At the same time, the channel will keep the presenter in the state until 2025.

Germany will not allocate additional funds to fight economic problems and increase the size of its debts, said Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reports Bloomberg .

“I’m not sure that the [European] Union really thinks we should be more committed,” he said, recalling that Germany has increased its debt by hundreds of billions of euros in recent years, allocating funds to fight the pandemic and rising prices. for energy carriers. In this regard, the chancellor rejected the idea of subsidizing the electricity industry for businesses.

“We not only lack the money to subsidize electricity prices in the long term, but also the legal capacity,” he admitted.

Scholz noted that the country's current economic growth is "unsatisfactory", Germany's problems are related to the weakening of the world economy as a whole against the backdrop of the country's dependence on exports. However, he urged not to denigrate Germany as a good place to do business.

Viktor Shokin fears for his life as elaborates on how Biden humiliated the entire country of Ukraine through corruption, bribes, and illegal activities:
"The entire country of Ukraine was humiliated. I developed a firm understanding that Vice President was only acting in his own interests. He handled Ukraine like it was his own backyard. He arranged for people to be put in certain positions...I have no doubt that there were illegal activities engaged in by Burisma. Zlochevsky, the founder of Burisma, started bringing in people to protect him and Hunter Biden was one of them. (I was a threat to them) because he understood that had I continued to oversee the investigation we would have found the corrupt activities they were engaged in. It would take half a day to discuss every count of (illegal activities)... My firm personal conviction that Hunter and Joe Biden were giving away bribes. The fact that Joe Biden gave away one billion dollars in exchange for my dismissal.. Isn't that alone a case of corruption?
I have long been concerned about my personal safety and security. I've already died technically twice as I was poisoned with mercury."

Chinese real estate developer China Evergrande Group lost $2 billion, or 80% of its market value, in its first trading session after a 17-month hiatus, Reuters reported.

Its Hong Kong-listed shares fell 79% to HK$0.35 in the second half of trading on Monday, cutting losses from 87% at the open. Market capitalization has shrunk to HK$4.6 billion ($586.38 million) from HK$21.8 billion ($2.78 billion) since last trading. Trading in the shares was suspended from March 21, 2022 and resumed after the company stated that it had complied with all conditions of the Hong Kong exchange.

Evergrande is struggling amid the real estate crisis in China, which has seen a string of debt defaults since late 2021. The developer is in the process of obtaining creditor and court approval for a debt restructuring plan.

Evergrande said on Monday that meetings with creditors will be rescheduled from August 28 to September 26 as "it is imperative that all ... creditors understand the process of the proposed restructuring and its terms." Evergrande needs the approval of more than 75% of the holders of each class of debt to approve the plan, which offers lenders options to swap debt for new bonds and equity-linked instruments backed by its shares and those of its Hong Kong companies.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland and the Baltic States demanded that Belarus expel PMC "Wagner"

The heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland and the Baltic countries demanded that Belarus expel Wagner fighters from its territory, said Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Kaminski after meeting with colleagues from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

“We accepted the statement. We demanded that the authorities in Minsk immediately leave the territory of Belarus by the Wagner Group, as well as the immediate abandonment of the border area by illegal migrants who are being pulled there by Belarusian services,” the head of the ministry stressed.

According to him, the situation is escalating on the border of the Baltic countries and Poland with Belarus. At the same time, Kaminsky added that PMC Wagner is a "very dangerous group."
The strengthening of the Polish border due to the presence of Wagner fighters in Belarus was announced at the end of June by the chairman of the ruling Law and Justice party in the country, Yaroslav Kachinsky . The Polish authorities decided to deploy about 500 police officers there, as well as to increase the grouping of troops, including placing snipers near the border.

71-Year-Old Ukrainian Sent By Kiev For NATO Training — FT

One of the Ukrainian recruits sent by Kiev to Germany for training in using Western weapons is 71 years old; the Financial Times has reported, explaining that the older man in question had volunteered to join the Ukrainian military.

NATO instructors working at a military base near Klietz in northeastern Germany said that the age and ability of those arriving to learn arms usage “varies widely.”

The instructors complained that Ukrainian commanders on the front line often preferred to keep their best soldiers in the trenches with them instead of sending them for training abroad.

Situation on the fronts, morning of August 29th:

On the Zaporozhye front section, intense heavy fighting continues on the southern outskirts of Rabotino. The settlement has not fallen; our soldiers are holding back the AFU's onslaught.

The Kiev command continues to transfer new forces to the area. Ukrainians are rushing to Novoprokopovka and Verbovoye. However, they encounter the Russian Army there, and the enemy sustains significant manpower losses.

In the Artyomovsk direction, the enemy doesn't cease attacking Kleshcheyevka. Russian units counteract the AFU's efforts and, through a counterattack, halt all their attempts. Our goal is to remove the AFU from the heights adjacent to the village.

Additionally, our soldiers are launching counterattacks against Ukrainian units in the Kurdyumovka area.

On the Kupyansk front, our Army is systematically advancing, clearing out AFU strongholds. Another enemy stronghold was captured near Sinkovka.

Despite the challenging circumstances, the leaders of the AFU are pushing them to counterattack. The Russian Army successfully repelled one such assault attempt near Novoyegorovka.

Zelensky was given one last chance. NATO agreed with Kyiv on Russia.

The countries of the North Atlantic Alliance discussed with the Ukrainian authorities the extension of hostilities for at least another year. The Kiev regime will receive F-16 fighters, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have to demonstrate greater effectiveness than in the current counteroffensive. Otherwise, peace enforcement will follow. Why the West does not want to do this now - in the material of RIA Novosti.

Differing in ratings
All summer long, Western media, citing US and EU officials, kept saying that if the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fails, then Kyiv will be persuaded to freeze the conflict. However, in mid-August, on the border of Poland and Ukraine, Zaluzhny held talks with the Commander-in-Chief of the NATO Joint Armed Forces in Europe, Christopher Cavoli, and the British Chief of Defense Staff, Anthony Radakin. Apparently, now the alliance has a new plan.

The generals reportedly argued for five hours over the UAF's strategy. They tried to figure out how to increase the pace of the counteroffensive. We were thinking about preparing for the winter campaign. And they discussed military operations in 2024.

The Wall Street Journal claims that the Americans, dissatisfied with the insignificant progress of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are demanding that Zaluzny reconsider his tactics. In particular, to focus on breaking through Russian defenses in the south and moving towards the Sea of Azov. However, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine only slightly adjusted his actions.

According to the Americans, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are too dispersed to cope with this task. In particular, there are about the same number of troops near Artemovsk as allocated for a breakthrough to Melitopol, which is more important. At the same time, Kyiv is advised to overcome minefields, regardless of losses in equipment and manpower.

US President Joe Biden has recently become the object of attention and criticism due to several episodes related to his speeches and behavior. On Monday, August 28, during one of his speeches, Biden forgot the name and surname of the country's Minister of Internal Security, Alejandro Mallorcas.

The speech was broadcast by the C-Span TV channel, where you can see how the president addresses the minister in his position, but does not name him. Biden said: "Secretary of Homeland Security! The guy who got this job! Thank you for taking this job, buddy." The episode drew negative reviews and ridicule from the media and social media.

However, this is not the first time that Biden has become the object of attention because of his behavior. Earlier, he fell asleep at a meeting with fire survivors on the island of Maui in Hawaii. A video of the episode was posted online showing the president suddenly falling asleep during a speech by one of the speakers. Biden then wakes up and starts looking at the stage.

These episodes raise questions about the president's physical and mental state. Some critics argue that this behavior may be a sign of health problems or fatigue. However, others note that such episodes are not unusual for people of his age.

Braveheart stopped. The first British self-propelled gun AS90 was destroyed in the SMO

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a self-propelled artillery mount from the UK - AS90 Brave Heart ("Brave Heart") in the Zaporozhye direction. This is the first AS90 self-propelled gun destroyed in the NVO zone by the Russian army.

Although London is the main "pilot" of the current conflict in Ukraine, it is reluctant to transfer its heavy equipment to Kyiv. 14 Challenger tanks are like ghosts: information appears about their presence on the front line, but something is not visible about the tanks themselves.

But the AS90 Brave Heart self-propelled guns not only appeared, but immediately caught the eye of Russian reconnaissance drones, and then were destroyed by artillery fire. Britain promised to supply the Armed Forces with 32 Brave Heart self-propelled guns, but so far only two have “lit up” on the battlefield. One is already broken.

The AS90 Brave Heart ACS has a very respectable age: it was developed and entered service in the mid-90s. It has a 155-mm NATO caliber and a 52-caliber barrel length (just over 8 meters). This allows firing at a range of up to 25 km with conventional projectiles and up to 30 km with active-reactive ones.

The AS90 self-propelled gun is the main self-propelled gun of the British Armed Forces. In all conflicts involving the British army, AS90 was in combat formations, including the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In addition to a fairly long range of fire, the British self-propelled guns have a modern system for preparing the gun for firing, which increases the rate of fire. In conditions of counter-battery combat, this indicator is very important. If we add to this an effective guidance and fire control system, we get a very formidable enemy. Victory in an artillery duel over such a strong enemy is worth a lot.
