Ministry of Defense: Russian air defense shot down eight Storm Shadow missiles launched by Ukraine at Crimea.

The Russian air defense system thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian nationalists to attack targets in Crimea with eight Anglo-French-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this on Monday, October 30.

“On October 30, at about 13:00 Moscow time, an attempt to attack the Kyiv regime with eight Storm Shadow cruise missiles on targets on the Crimean peninsula was stopped. As a result of repelling the attack by air defense systems on duty, all missiles were shot down,” the defense department said in a statement.

No damage or casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
