Ukiyo-e style prints by French-Japanese artist Paul Jacoulet. Although born in Paris, he moved to Japan where, after years of study, he came to be recognized as a master of the woodblock print artform.
In 1927, Liebermann was celebrated throughout Berlin for his 80th birthday, with a large exhibition. Just 6 years later, he resigned his post at the Prussian Academy of Arts, as Jewish painters were no longer allowed to exhibit art.
