🇱🇹🇺🇸🪖⁉️ UPDATE: The bodies of four U.S. soldiers from the 1st Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division in Lithuania still haven't been recovered as the investigation continues today!

➡️ Their M88A2 Hercules ARV was discovered submerged in a swamp at a depth of 5 meters, but the bodies of the American soldiers remain unaccounted for.

➡️ Their deaths have not been officially confirmed, and the NATO press secretary even issued a public apology for prematurely announcing their fatalities.

➡️ Since the Hercules vehicle remains unrecovered due to the depth, and bringing in heavy equipment is currently unfeasible, water must be pumped out of the swamp to proceed. It is suspected that all four ARV crew members may still be inside the vehicle, but this cannot be confirmed until access is secured.

➡️ Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovilė Šakalienė noted "positive signs" in the rescue efforts, raising hopes for a quicker outcome but emphasized no guarantee the soldiers were inside the vehicle when it sank.

➡️ Lithuanian Armed Forces Commander Raimundas Vaikšnoras said the vehicle is neither visible from the surface nor easily detectable with metal rods. He added that high-pressure gas lines in the area must be shut off before heavy equipment can be deployed.
