🔴 On the first map, you see the forced migration route of the convoy of 2300 people, all of whom were Pontian Greeks, women, children and the elderly, departing from Bafra
🔸 It started on 21 September 1921 and only 800 people were able to survive in Malatya on 8 November 1921. In other words, 34.78% of these people were able to survive
‼️ On the second map, you can see the forced migration route of the first group of 1040 people, all Pontian Greeks, departing from Samsun. 701 people were brutally murdered in Kavak
🔸 Forced migration started on 17 April 1921 and only 257 people survived to Van (24.7%)
🟢 During the Greek Genocide in Pontus, the Ottomans/Turks slaughtered people in villages that had been Greek for thousands of years and the survivors were forced to march for months, most to death to other regions where they would then be imprisoned, tortured, raped, enslaved, sold or killed

🔴 Under the orders of the Genocidal Kemal Ataturk, 68 valiant Greeks from Samsun and Bafra, who were executed in 1921 on the grounds that they were trying to establish the Pontos Republic, marched to death with their heads high
🟢 The names are written strangely since they were acquired from diaries of U.S Navy Officers which most likely had problems understanding the names of Greeks

🇬🇷 A Pontic Greek woman speaking Pontic Greek (Ρωμέϊκα)
Pontic Greek is a dialect of the Greek language that is largely derived, like almost all the other modern Greek dialects, from the Koine (common) Greek of Hellenistic and Roman times (4th century BC - 4th century AD). It probably began to become markedly distinct from the rest of the modern Greek dialects after the Seljuk invasions of Asia Minor [in the 11th century AD], which split Pontus from the other regions of the Byzantine Empire. However, some older features of the Greek language that disappeared from other Greek dialects were retained in Pontic, while some innovations seem to have taken place in Pontic under the influence of other Greek dialects even after the medieval period.
The woman in the video says that her language is her roots, her past, her present, and her future.

🔴 Erdogan says that there will be no discussion regarding the withdraw of Turkish forces occupying Cyprus

🔸 Erdogan said that "there is no question of letting Cyprus be 'harassed' by the Cypriots. The withdrawal of Turkish troops cannot even be proposed. We will continue diplomacy with countries on international platforms in the coming days"
🔸 So far, he said, "their stance on 'northern cyprus' has been clear, but we will defend the rights of the 'Turkish Cypriot people' to the fullest. But let me tell you, we do not trust anyone but us"
🔸 He also stated that, unexpectedly, he will go to the occupied territories "on July 20 for the anniversary of the Day of Peace and Freedom", as they call the anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus
