This time it was an event in the historical mansion of the military minister Milutin ( Sadovaya,4)
🎉Il Carnevale di Venezia 🎉La serata di cultura Italiana .
What were we doing there ?
There was a dresscode announced to look beautiful and elegant. So,we had a lecture about the history of Venezian Carnival,then a buffet with snacks and beverages, then an italian concert and a dancing masterclass. 💃
📌Some facts about the Venezian carnival:
💫Takes place on Saturday, 27.01 ,and continue to Tuesday,13.02.
💫Features dazzling costumes and stunning masquerade masks
💫During the event, participants often wear 17th century Venetian dresses with intricate masks ( each mask symbolizes historical figures)
💫There are street shows and boat parades. History in the making ,in my opinion 😀
💫The ticket price varies from 300$ to more than 5000$ per person ,depending on the level of luxury!
👗👠💍It was a chance for me to dress up and transport in a different era 😃

I was introduced to this during our teacher development sessions from American Embassy. Our lecturer and a mentor Jennifer dropped this picture into our regular seminar to think about the wide spectrum of emotions which a person can feel.

I weekly participate in various Italian meetings and trying vigorously to keep the level of my Italian updated 😊Yesterday's speaking club was about Italian commercial posters and it ended up with making our own creative attempts to craft ours. MATRESHKA was in the spotlight ,although we advertised it in Italian🔥😃🔥
I've never thought long and deep about its symbolism.
✍In Russian, the word "matryoshka" literally means “little matron” and is a familiar shortening of the common name Matryona.The Latin root word of Matryoshka is "mater," which means “mother.”
✍ Motherhood, family and fertility all influence the significance of the Russian nested doll. Having a large and close knit family is common and important in traditional Russian culture, with many generations and extended relatives playing an active role in the family dynamic.

That is what is wrong with cold people. Not that they have ice in their souls - we all have a bit of that - but that they insist every word and deed mirror that ice. They never learn the beauty or value of gesture. The emotional necessity. For them, it is all honesty before kindness, truth before art. Love is art, not truth. It’s like painting scenery.
