Letter which a concerned citizen of the west wrote to the UN's High Commissioner for Human Rights about Ukraine's Myrotvorets kill list, a list which has seen people whose personal information (name, home address, ID, phone...) were placed on it killed at some point after, a list which includes the names& details of over 300 children!.



"Dear High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk,

As evidenced by the cover letter, I am contacting you today with regard to the Myrotvorets website and database maintained by the Ukrainian government.

I am not affiliated with the Foundation to Battle Injustice; My words here are my own.

As you will be aware, the website was launched and promoted in December 2014 by Ukrainian politician Georgy Tuka, and has existed ever since, consistently increasing in size each year.

The enclosed cover letter, prepared by the Foundation to Battle Injustice, mentions the journalists on Myrotvorets; presently 341 discovered at the time of this writing.

Something which is not mentioned specifically, are the 327 children. The youngest is a nine year old girl. She will be ten in November of this year (2022). She was added at age eight. Of course, you will also be familiar with thirteen year old Faina Savenkova, who has contacted the United Nations in the past. Furthermore, we might add to this number of 327, those people who were placed on Myrotvorets as children, remain on it, but have grown into young adults during the ensuing years. Were we to include all of these individuals, the count of 327 children would be much higher.

High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, I know you are aware of Myrotvorets. I know that the United Nations is aware of it. Furthermore, I know that the United Nations has made requests in the past for the website and database to be permanently closed down. What is concerning, is the public silence on the matter. There appears to have been no public denouncement of this database made by the United Nations or other relevent organizations in a position to influence change. Indeed, there appears to be a general lack of interest in raising awareness about this list, and it's practices in the world community; with a particular, and notable lack of effort to bring knowledge of this list to the general public.

This public silence is not only concerning, it would seem to me to be counter-productive. The United Nations and it's offices hold an immense influence in the world, including in the minds of the people. I'm certain if sufficient efforts were made to raise public awareness of Myrotvorets and it's practices, the people of the world would support the United Nations in any efforts undertaken to permanently shut down this list, which is an afront to humanity and human decency. Therefore, a campaign of public awareness could only have beneficial results.

High Commissioner Türk, as a citizen of one of the original countries which ratified the Charter of the United Nations in 1945, I would like to know why silence has prevailed on this matter of great importance to humanity for so long. Furthermore, I call for the United Nations' public silence regarding Myrotvorets be brought to a swift conclusion.

High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, whatever political maneuvering may be taking place on the world stage, surely we can agree, that no government, official body, or State sanctioned organization should maintain a list of "enemies" which includes children.
