Romans 6:
Death is the wages of the least sin. In Romans 6 SIN is represented either as the work for which the wages are given, or as the employer who pays the wages to the worker. All of sin’s servants who do sin’s work should expect this payment. Though the way of sin may seem pleasant and inviting, the end is always dismal and bitter.

However, if the working man sees this future, is disgusted by it and yields himself to a new master, Christ, his destiny changes. There will be an active principle of true and growing grace living within him, and the end will be everlasting life—a very happy end!

Though the way of following Christ be up-hill, though it be narrow, and thorny, we are assured that everlasting life is our destination and prize. As Romans 6:23 says, The gift of God is eternal life.

Heaven is life, consisting in the vision and fruition of God and it is eternal life. It is Christ that purchased it, prepared it, prepares us for it, preserves us to it. Praise and glory be to Him forever!
