📝 Dr. Eyad Qunaibi:

O' young men and women, please preserve your chastity!

Don't be deluded by the statement;
"I will repent later, and Allah will accept (my repentance)"!

Even if you are fortunate enough and you repent (before death takes you), there's a bitterness caused by the sin; a bitterness which might not be wiped away (so easily).

For even if repentance saves you from the punishment of the hereafter; that doesn't necessarily mean that it will wipe away the painful worldly consequences which might impact you yourself or those around you whom you have harmed by your sin.

I'm saying this based on what I know of the conditions of some people... His chaste wife or her chaste husband gets infected with one of the sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) which are spread among the deviants... Something which surprises & shocks him/her! And the cause of the infection: vile lusts in the past; from which he had repented; yet its consequences remained whilst he was unaware! The disease's symptoms didn't show on him, yet the virus remained in his body until he transmitted them to the mother of his children, and the symptoms appeared on her after years, even though they might not have appeared on him.

What kind of regret will strike him - if he is someone of conscience - when he sees this poor woman suffering the bitterness of the disease in her exhausted body! Even worse than that are the psychological and social consequences; and shame which is through no fault of her own!

The same goes for a wife who transmitted such diseases to her husband.

All this, if we assume that the one who says,
"I will repent later and Allah will accept" will truly be granted the success to repent sincerely whilst he belittles the sin in such a way.

All of this with the reminder that the believer is deterred by the (threat or fear of the) punishment of the hereafter; regardless of what may afflict him/her in this worldly life.

Thus, O' young men and women; please preserve your chastity.
