In 2016, the Obama administration approved $ 38 billion (US tax payer money) in foreign aid to Israel for ten years, which was due to expire in 2029, but the IDF establishment used most of that money for purchases, particularly for the second F-35 Squadron.

According to Barak Ravid, Israel's top officials, PM Netanyahu, MoD Gantz and MFA Ashkenazi, along with the military attache to Moscow, discussed "Humanitarian issues in Syria" with their Russian counterparts.

Russians to release a religious teenage girl who crossed the border two weeks ago into Syria. By: @AAhronheim

Odd that the Syrian state media hasn't reported the event then.
The Syrians to be released are:

- Nihal Al Maqt, a Druze from the Golan, serving (under house arrest) a suspended 3-year prison term with hard labor. She was convicted of anti-Israel incitement. Her brother Sidqi (the 'Syrian Mandela' activist, jailed for espionage) was released last year in a swap also mediated by Russia.

- Dhiab Qahmouz, an Alawite from Ghajar, sentenced to 14 years. He is allegedly part of a Hezbullah cell captured by the IDF in Ghajar.

The Golan and (a part of) Ghajar are Syrian territories occupied by Israel. The other part of Ghajar is in Lebanon.
The cell, that Dhiab Qahmouz (35 y.o.) was accused of, was made of his brothers Jamil (33 y.o.) and Youssef (38 y.o.), his cousin Mohsen (25 y.o.), and Mamdouh Ibrahim (25 y.o), from the village of Ghajar.

He was accused of obtaining two IEDs and of planning an attack deep inside Israel against the IDF. He was sentenced in 2018 for 14 years while the others for 24 to 36 months and are likely already free.
Beautiful snow everywhere in Lebanon, south and north...but only we Beirutis aren't getting any.
I'm not in favor of banning them, though I'd say let's not act as if it's something not done by others and that falls under the fight over narrative that happens anywhere. https://twitter.com/timourazhari/status/1362015609513521161
Let me add, Al Jadeed was banned by Amal Movement a year or two ago while MTV was just recently banned after Dima Sadek's episode. An episode even MTV thought it crossed the red line and openly denounced it.

The ban is only in daheyh and doesn't cover south Lebanon or Beqaa.
